A salute to flydubai’s brave Indian pilot, Captain Smit Machchhar. Stabbed and wounded, yet he stood his ground. With the courage of "Arjuna" in the face of danger and the resolve of "Hanuman" when duty called, he fought back, opened the cockpit door, and gave the passengers and crew the chance to prevent disaster. He helped save 174 lives.
Tonight, from the UAE to India to Israel, people are united in gratitude, wishing Captain Machchhar a swift and full recovery.
A hero to his passengers, to aviation, and to people everywhere.
Salute, Captain.
ONE YEAR AGO, Captain Smit Machchhar was asked what's a bigger high: A smooth landing, or an on-time arrival?
His answer: "None. Safe. You don't have to think about on time. They've hired other people to take care of that."
"A positive landing. Safe landing where I'm supposed to land. If it turns out smooth, perfect."
Today, stabbed by his co-pilot, he still got the cockpit door open so passengers could stop the hijacking.
He saved the lives of all 174 passengers, and they had a safe landing.
Thank you, Captain Machchhar.
You'll be shocked after hearing what Captain Smit Machchar said to the passengers 🚨
Doctor Maya Peretz -
“Smit is truly a brave man. Everyone on that plane was brave. Everything was going normally, and I was peacefully taking a nap. Suddenly, the whole plane shook so violently that people started panicking.
After some time, some of us saw the cockpit door being opened. I was sitting in the last seats, so I couldn't clearly see what had happened. But when people started attacking the Muslim pilot, Captain Smit said, ‘Leave him. If anyone can control the plane, have a look.’
Some of us were even ready to throw that man out of the plane. But Captain Smit and few of us doctors insisted that we should not do it and let officials deal with him. I truly want my daughter to become as great a human being as him. I pray to lord that he recovers soon.”
No matter which country you belong to, everyone should aspire to be a human like Smit 🙏❤️
Legacy media are terrorists.
A pilot was stabbed.
NYT: “altercation”
CNN: “altercation”
WSJ: “struggle”
BBC: “fight”
Sky News: “brawl”
Enemies of humanity.
You still underestimate the media.
Incredible courage from Captain Smit Machchhar in the face of an unimaginable situation.
His bravery, along with the efforts of everyone who stepped in, helped bring 174 passengers to safety.
Wishing Captain Machchhar a complete and speedy recovery. 🙏🇮🇳
If a judge isnt able to deliver justice on time. 2000 per day must be added to their electricity bill too?
Fair enough?
Because justice delayed is justice denied.

The government is doing good work, but justice is still awaited. We lost our homes and land

Your website doesn’t even provide a proper cancellation option and instead redirects customers to WhatsApp. When every support channel fails, how is a customer supposed to get their prepaid money back?

In India, we complain a lot.
But when someone does good work to give solutions, we don't celebrate loud enough.
This massive task of clearing Okhla landfill's pre-2025 garbage heap should have been on SM handles everywhere. Well done Dilli government 🙌
