One of my clients is a cardiologist.
He came to me 1.5 months ago desperate for change.
His job controls his life:
• 2+ surgeries a day
• 30-40 patients a day
• Night and weekend calls
• Always exhausted
• No free time
Here’s how we’re taking back control of his life:
First I’ll give you some context so you can get the full picture.
My client:
• Is 42 years old
• Has a wife and 3 kids
• Is overweight/unhealthy
• Knows his life is meant for more
• Has his own clinic and works at hospitals
He has been a cardiologist for about 15 years and has done very well professionally.
But in that time he became a workaholic.
Always looking to achieve the next milestone no matter what it took.
But when he turned 40.
He had an epiphany and realised…
He has been spending all of his time working.
And hasn't been there for his wife and kids..
While completely neglecting his own health and happiness.
He was exhausted and angry with himself for letting things get out of hand.
After 2 years he finally decided to do something about it.
That's when he reached out to me.
I listened to all of his struggles and desires.
Then we got to work.
We started by dissecting his schedule.
We wanted to see where in his day there were pockets of time he could use to better himself.
In order to take control of your life (health) you need to master the basics.
• Sleep
• Exercise
• Nutrition
• Sunlight
• Mindfulness
He was keen on exercise so we started there.
We focused on one habit so it's not overwhelming.
After dissecting his day we found...
He has the most free time in the first hour after waking.
We decided he was going to walk at an incline on his home treadmill for 15 minutes every morning.
Again, nothing overwhelming.
We also found 1 hour in the evening when he would usually pass out on the couch.
We traded this for journaling and time with his wife.
So, now we've got the ball rolling with the basics.
We begin to deep dive into other areas.
Starting with getting CRYSTAL CLEAR on exactly what he wants his life to look like.
Getting clear on what you want is how you find direction and meaning.
We got specific on his goals and dreams in ALL aspects of his life.
• Health
• Family
• Career
• Finances
• Relationships
• Fun/recreation
And most importantly…
Found his WHY behind each.
This is CRITICAL.
I challenged him to dream BIG.
His biggest desires revolved around creating more time for his family and himself.
He wants control of his time.
He wants FREEDOM
Naturally a load of limiting beliefs came up about why it's not possible.
Which brought us to 2 main focuses:
1. Who he needs to become in order to achieve those desires
2. Disproving the limiting beliefs that are popping up (identify-disprove-replace)
This is where we are currently at in the coaching process.
Next we will create a plan on how he will achieve these desires..
While checking off the basics as he becomes confident with each one.
Of course throughout this entire process
I constantly remind him of the mindset and spiritual principles he needs to achieve all of these desires.
I’m happy to say he:
• Has exercised for 15-30 min nearly everyday
• Has created at least 1 hr/day family time
• Has more energy than he's had in years
• Is finding meaning and purpose again
• Is slowly taking control of his life
And has massively improved his self belief.
Although it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows.
He still has bad days, he’s human…
But they’re fewer and far between.
Before we started he was:
• Terrified
• Powerless
• Exhausted
Now he feels:
• Energetic
• Powerful
• Inspired
Want to know the best part?
We’ve only worked together for 1.5 months.
There’s still 4.5 months to go.
We’re going to give him back control of his life.

I definitely see where you’re coming from. But in my experience I don’t see fear as a bad thing. I use it as a compass for what I need to pursue and lean into. It’s a sign that I’m challenging myself.
Because I know that the fear is only an illusion created in my head. When I lean into and overcome it, that’s when it then becomes absent.
I hope that makes sense lol.
How I know when to pursue an opportunity:
1. It scares the shit out of me
2. It excites the shit out of me
No excitement means the opportunity doesn’t align with my goals.
No fear means I’m not challenging myself enough.
Combine the two and you’ll find GOLD.
