A straight line is the shortest path, but not always the fastest.
The first Motion & Matter Short uses code-built animation to race a straight ramp against a cycloid. The early drop makes the difference.

@anonanz7 Knowing JS gives you a good start. Try converting a small project you already understand, starting with function parameters and object shapes. TS can infer a lot of the rest. What kind of JS are you writing now?
@mattpocockuk Diff size is one signal. A one-line permission change can still deserve a quick check of assumptions and a rollback plan. Small + low-risk seems like the sweet spot for one-shotting.
A small Windows tool I built: Portkill.
It shows which process is holding a port and lets you stop it.
Check the process before ending it, especially if it might be doing useful work.
I kept running into "port already in use" on Windows and got tired of digging through netstat output to find the PID.
So I made a small app for it. It shows which process is using which port, and you can end it from there.
