₹7 lakh in Credit Card dues… and the bank is ready to settle it for just ₹80,000! 😳
A friend of mine has been using an HDFC Credit Card for the last 8 years. But after suffering heavy financial losses, his situation became so difficult that he has now missed his third consecutive payment.
Then the bank’s Collections Team called and said:
“Settle the ₹7 lakh outstanding for ₹80,000. It’s better to make a decision before the account becomes NPA.”
Think about it…
₹7 lakh outstanding, settled for just ₹80,000!
That’s a ₹6.20 lakh reduction.
But is it really that simple?
The biggest question is—what happens to his Credit Report and CIBIL Score after the settlement?
Could it make getting a Loan or a new Credit Card difficult in the future?
The Collections Manager says that he can later pay the remaining amount with interest and gradually improve his Credit Score.
But here’s the real question—will the bank give this assurance in writing?
During a financial crisis, is it really safe to borrow ₹80,000 from relatives and settle the account based only on a verbal promise?
On the other hand, if paying the full ₹7 lakh is simply impossible, there is also the risk of the account becoming NPA.
So the decision isn’t easy:
Pay ₹80,000 and settle the account now?
OR
First get all the settlement terms in writing, understand the impact on the Credit Report, explore other options, and then decide?
If you were in his place, what would you do?
Accept the settlement or first get everything in writing?
@Angelye8qg Some people deserve this but sometimes we misjudge a person. After blocking him, his truth and his thoughts will automatically come out. If after being blocked, that person says something to someone, then he is definitely a wrong person.
Settling a ₹7 lakh debt for just ₹80,000 may sound like a huge relief, but the real concern is its long-term impact on the credit score and future loan eligibility. In such a situation, it’s better not to rush and to get every term and condition from the bank in writing first.

Cancelled a ₹499 Pizza… But Got NO Refund! *
I had ordered a ₹499 Baby Corn Pizza on Swiggy, but suddenly I had to go out, so I had to cancel the order.
I didn’t even get the pizza, but my ₹499 payment wasn’t refunded either.
I contacted Customer Care from morning till evening. Every time I got a different answer, but my money never came back.
If the customer didn’t even receive the order, then where did the ₹499 refund go?
After this experience, I’ve lost trust in online payments. Now I’m thinking of only doing Cash on Delivery instead of online payment.
People who order from online food apps, please check the refund policy before cancelling!
Has this ever happened to you too after cancelling a food order?
Traveling in First AC taught me one thing age doesn’t automatically bring manners.
On August 7, I was traveling from my hometown to Kolkata with my parents. There was an elderly man traveling with us in the cabin.
Initially, he started talking to my father about doctors and diabetes.
Then suddenly, he opened his entire résumé how famous he was, how many flats he had in Kolkata, what he had achieved… 😐
Then began the interrogation of personal questions ↓↓↓
- Virat Kohli didn't have a double century in ODI cricket
- MS Dhoni didn't have an overseas century in any format
- Sachin Tendulkar didn't have a triple century in test cricket
- Yuvraj Singh didn't have an IPL century
Can you guess a player who achieved all of these ?🥶🤯
@Neend_Ki_Rani Exactly! Calling it “5G Unlimited” while customers are left with 4G and their daily 1.5GB data gets exhausted is really frustrating. First ensure proper 5G coverage in villages, then advertise unlimited 5G. Customers deserve transparency, not confusing offers. @airtelindia
Big lie by telecom company.
Airtel offers 1.5GB of 4G data under the name 5G Unlimited.
A few days ago, a friend of mine did a 5G recharge of Airtel for ₹349. The day before yesterday, she went to her village. As soon as she reached the village, she started getting only 4G network 😲
And his 1.5 GB data got exhausted and he had to fill an important form, he messaged us to recharge 1 GB for ₹22, we did it too but the question is about the telecom company.
How long will such a network exist and will they keep giving 1.5 GB data in the name of 5G unlimited? First fix the 5G tower in the village.
A man went to withdraw money from a Bank of Baroda ATM!
He plugged the ATM into the machine and drank. The withdrawal sound would come, but the money didn't come out.
The boy then looked around the ATM and noticed a tax type on the outside of the ATM.
As soon as he removed the cover, he found the money frozen there, and was shocked.
After all, such a thing can be done with an ATM. Money is about to be withdrawn from an ATM with great caution right now.
Right now, similar scams are being perpetrated in many places, so be careful.
@Neend_Ki_Rani@airtelindia Getting a recharge reminder just a few hours after already recharging is seriously annoying. If the plan is still active, why keep sending unnecessary recharge messages? @airtelindia Please look into this issue, otherwise customers may be forced to switch to another network.
Hello @airtelindia Why are we being harassed...💔
When we recharged yesterday at 1 PM then why did we get a message at 4 PM to recharge for ₹299?
Should I recharge again after recharge, which is bothering you, has the value of that recharge got exhausted in the same day, that is why you are getting SMS again from the company.
If you trouble me so much, I will get my SIM ported to some other company.
Loan up to Rs 50 lakh at 9.9% interest rate is such a big fraud by Bajaj
Where does Bajaj Market get everyone's numbers for loans?
We keep getting WhatsApp messages from Bajaj Finance for loans.
After the loan, they commit so much fraud that we know they send links for clicking. Who would take money on a loan at 9.9 percent?
Look at these idiots fighting like dogs in the middle of the road.
They are youngesters and will become fathers in a few years. What will they teach their children?
Bloody fools,zero civic sence people.
It does not matter to them that due to their disturbance some passerby may get injured or an ambulance may get stuck in the traffic jam.
While fighting like this, something will happen to them or they will do something to someone and go to jail.
Then who will be worried, parents?
They will not only ruin their own lives but will also destroy their parents and future generations.
May God give wisdom to such people.
