@HarmanSmith64 It's probably not because they were against LGBT. Remember, Birdo and Vivian (two characters from their MASCOT FRANCHISE, Mario) are canonically trans women. Maybe they just wanted to put other identities in a single category to simplify it? I don't know. This is just my guess.
