@corymccabefilms I've always had a custom Windows machine for editing and a Macbook, iPhone, and iPad for everything else.
Are you running Final Cut or Adobe Premiere Pro?
@JCutrell I honestly don’t remember who I got it from, but I love writing everything out the night before and time blocking. It actualizes what I need to get done.
Specifically, it went from writing ideas out > adding todo list > adding to calendar.
I’ve done this for years.
@LinkedInHelp Awesome! Again, LinkedIn isn't new, but I think it's slept on as a platform. Most of the time I've spent on LinkedIn is valuable, unlike other job boards.
It's not all hate. I'm learning a ton right now, and LinkedIn is better than other job sites. But I'm frustrated most by the things above and the notifications for pointless things. Otherwise, it's a great platform. LinkedIn Learning is great too.
Fourthly, the Salary range needs to be retooled. I should be able to put any salary not just 40,000+ or 60,000.+ If I'm looking for jobs that are $50,000. I should be able to search for that.
Thirdly, please make it easier to report companies that post fake remote jobs. It wastes everyone's time and I come across those posts daily. If they do it too much they should get banned (temporarily) from LinkedIn.
@FullHarbor Lastly, JamesB at @experilearning has a bunch of information on the topic. Definitely check out his YouTube channel. I'm sure there is a way to build this in Notion.
Also, congrats on the 200K! That's a huge financial achievement.
@FullHarbor@obsdmd Also, look up incremental writing. I'm sure there is a way to do that within Notion, but it's fantastic. It's conceptually similar to spaced repetition, but for expanding on the material.
I've been working on articles/ideas for months. Slowly revisiting ideas.
@FullHarbor@obsdmd I love the fact that @obsdmd is localized. The only other copy is my backup. There is something exciting about having my main writing offline.
I checked this morning. I've written 345 mini articles this year. They range from 200-8,000 words.
@charliprangley Great reminder Charli! I was just thinking the other day about the importance of having hobbies outside of work/self-development. Making time for boredom, wonder, just being human.
I used to hate the idea of “just existing.”
