During the last winter session of Parliament the entire opposition was protesting against SIR and other issues in the house. Like always the @AITCofficial MPs were in the well taking lead and protesting fearlessly. I was there and I heard a prominent Muslim MP (not from TMC) shouting at Yusuf Pathan and telling him to withdraw from the protest. Yusuf actually did withdraw and came back to his seat. I saw a change on Yusuf’s face, he was almost shivering. After that MP left, I went to Yusuf and asked him what happened? Why did he look scared? Yusuf told me that this person told him that he should not protest against BJP saying, “what is wrong with you? Why are you protesting against BJP. Khud ko dusmhman keun banarahe ho. They will bulldoze your house in Gujrat.
In the meanwhile @MahuaMoitra came and asked me what had happened. I told her that Yusuf is scared because that individual told Yusuf that BJP will bulldoze his house in Gujrat. Mahua got furious and told Yusuf not to listen to that person, we are behind you, we are one and no one will dare to touch you or your family.
One feels sorry for @MahuaMoitra & @AITCofficial . You had his back but he and his likes stabbed you in the back.

Declaring Jamia Siraj-ul-Uloom “unlawful” under UAPA is the latest act in a calculated dismantling of Kashmir’s civic life.

This is a school of 800+ students affiliated with the J&K Board, that has produced doctors, scholars, and professionals from homes that could never afford private education. Sealed by a divisional commissioner’s two-page order.

The pattern is unmistakable. Trusts, mosques, libraries, and now seminaries serving underprivileged children, every social and non-governmental institution that holds Kashmiri society together is being strangled.

#WATCH || : MLA @khadime_langate said the reservation issue is not NC vs NC, but merit versus non-merit.

He said the government cannot escape responsibility by merely submitting a report to the LG’s office, responsibility does not end with recommendations; follow-up and implementation are equally important.

He said if there is any delay at the LG’s level, the goverment must hold the office accountable and even protest, and they will support such a move.

This is a new low. The accidental deputy CM disdainfully and distastefully mocked at and made fun of NC legislator @Drveeri sahib’s emotional moments in the assembly yesterday. I have my differences with Dr Veeri. But as a human being, I hold him on high esteem. And at a personal level, not at a political level I take exception to this shameless behaviour.

The Deputy CM is a habitual offender and has now become an embarrassment for the Legislative Assembly. His alleged autonomy to abuse and embarrass is not too strategic to not be deciphered.

In 2019 everything was taken away from us. And punitive measures were taken against the people of J and K in the name of law and order. Telephone networks were barred. Curfew was imposed for days. Most of the political leaders were jailed. I was jailed too. @Drveeri was jailed too. Have seen him go through lot of stress in the jail.

And it seems that Deputy CM is a gift our CM sahib has given to the people of J and K for enduring hardships, for Five years, post 2019.

This deputy CM actually needs a serious coaching session in basic manners. Legislative courtesy and propriety would have demanded immediate sacking.

But that would be expecting too much. Hope CM sahib shows some humility and intervenes to end this non stop embarrassment
