West Midlands will be the 6th UK city-region to bring its bus network back into public control🚌
The process should be complete by 2029👏
Meanwhile in Strathclyde we'll still be waiting⏲️

Today First Glasgow put single fares up to £3.25, leaving us with some of the most expensive buses in the UK💸
How can @ScotGov allow this blatantly unfair situation to persist?😤
They must take action & back @SPTcorporate's plans to take our buses back into public control💷
@fbizinc@GlasgowCC@MyGlasgowCC@transcotland @SPTcorporate @BetterBusesSPT Surprise to hear that they got values at all! I always find it dodgy when a company doesn't even show the costumer service email... Not that getting in touch was very helpful at all, when someone doesn't know the different between Castle St and High St, nor can look at a map.
@GlasgowCC@MyGlasgowCC@transcotland @SPTcorporate Can someone tell me how do I get in touch with #FirstBus? They overcharged me and refused a refund. No social media support, a non-existing app chat, 20 minutes on the phone and no email address listed. @BetterBusesSPT
@imurchan@MyGlasgowCC@transcotland @SPTcorporate @BetterBusesSPT Hi there, Sorry but we don't have anything to do with the buses in Glasgow. Firstbus Glasgow website is the best way to contact them about services etc. ^S
@GlasgowCC@MyGlasgowCC@transcotland @SPTcorporate @BetterBusesSPT Thanks, but information is minimal there. Is there a way to get local costumer support? After more than 20 minutes on the phone, I've been told by someone outside Glasgow that I lied about my journey, distance, and stops that aren't even on the route.
Just another day trying to figure how NON-public transport works in Glasgow. I've been charged £3.10 for a 5 stops/0.9 miles bus ride. There's no way that #FirstGlasgow would disclose the distance covered by £2.10. @GlasgowCC@AngusCMillar@transcotland@FionaHyslop @SPTcorporate
@EDI_Airport While this is good news for a majority of people, will photographers be able to request a hand-check for film that can get badly damaged by the new x-ray machines @EDI_Airport?
absolutely insane that everyone who lives in Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh knows that the 'random fires' in their cities are 100% deliberate and done so property developers can make a few quid but there's seemingly nothing anyone is able to do about it
Kaixo Bilbao....we are buzzing to be added to the @bilbaobbklive lineup.
Our first ever gig in the Basque Country / Euskal Herria🔥🔥🔥
On the night we should have been in Glasgow we've found welcome arms with our Basque brothers and sisters ❤️

Imagine living in a city that allows the build of this massive mediocrity right in front of (and completely obscuring) their architectonic pride and glory, Charles Mackintosh Glasgow School of Art... because there's no doubt that it'll go ahead 😩

I can't understand why Edinburgh has affordable buses and Glasgow doesn't. How does @SPTcorporate @GlasgowCC and @scotgov justify that? "Scotland for all", yes... if you can afford it.
🚌 Do you want a new publicly-owned bus company for our region, like Edinburgh's Lothian Buses?
Don't miss your chance to tell @SPTcorporate!
Please complete SPT's consultation before the deadline on Thurs 29 May, 5pm👇
