Today, I visited @bomanahalli_ps at around 4:00 PM to respectfully submit a complaint to PI/SHO Smt. Parvathi. After I mentioned the name of the person complained against, I felt there was reluctance in receiving my complaint. I waited until 10:30 PM, but the name and address I had provided were allegedly omitted from the printed complaint.

I called the ACP, Mico Layout, but there was no response. I then called 112, who instructed the ASI to mention the correct name and details and provide me the printout. However, the matter remained pending.

I have full respect for the police department and its officers, but transparency and accountability are equally important.

Why is there no body camera recording during such interactions? And why does the station display “Mobile Phones Not Allowed”?

Goa Police!

OP tilve Gajanan : This is a painful reminder of what happens when those entrusted with protecting the people forget their duty. A group of students from a college in Bardez reached Anjuna Police Station at around 2:00 PM to file a complaint. They weren't asking for favours. They weren't creating trouble. They were simply exercising their legal right to seek justice.

Instead of being heard, they were made to wait for hours. No officer entertained their complaint. To make matters worse, they were threatened with arrest for no valid reason.

At around 6:00 PM, these students called me. I could hear the fear and helplessness in their voices. I immediately reached the police station to stand beside them.

When I asked the officer a simple question "Why has there been such a delay in taking their complaint?" his response was, "Who are you to question me?" That sentence says everything that is wrong with the mindset of a few who believe power is above accountability.

A police station is not anyone's private property. It belongs to the people. Every officer wears the uniform to serve the public, not to intimidate them.

The saddest part is that because of the actions of a few such officers, the image of the entire police force gets tarnished. There are countless honest, dedicated and compassionate police officers who work day and night to protect society. They too suffer when arrogance and abuse of authority by a handful of individuals destroy

the public's trust.

Perhaps some are emboldened by recent statements insulting the youth of Goa by calling them "termites." But let me say this loudly and clearly:

The youth of Goa are not termites. They are the strength, the conscience and the future of this State. If standing with students against injustice makes me a target, so be it.

You may threaten me with arrest. You may misuse your authority. You may try to silence our voices.

But understand one thing...

I WILL NEVER STOP STANDING WITH THE PEOPLE. I AM NOT AFRAID.

Because fear protects injustice. Courage protects people and as long as I have a voice, I will continue to speak for every student, every youth, and every citizen who is denied dignity, respect and justice.

Don’t know about Rang De Basanti, but let me tell you what some of us millennials actually grew up watching.

I was in primary school during the 1993 Mumbai bombings -- too young to even understand what terrorism meant. But I distinctly remember my mom repeatedly warning me not to pick up anything lying around while playing outside because, you know, it could be a bomb.

That was childhood.

Then came the seemingly endless procession of attacks: the 1993 Mumbai blasts, Red Fort in 2000, Parliament in 2001, the Mumbai bus bombings and Akshardham in 2002, three separate blasts within eight months in Mumbai in 2003, the 2005 Delhi blasts, the 2007 Hyderabad bombings, and the 2008 Bangalore and Ahmedabad blasts.

In July 2006, I was supposed to be on one of the trains that was bombed near Mahim. I stayed back at the office because of a meeting. A completely mundane change of plans is probably the reason I’m alive to type this instead of being a name on a list of the dead.

I remember that evening far better than I remember any stupid movie. Our office went into lockdown. Phones were jammed. People were crying and frantically trying to reach their families. Nobody knew what was happening, whether there were more bombs, or whether someone they loved was lying dead inside a mangled train compartment.

Two years later came 26/11.

I had the misfortune of watching uncensored footage of the aftermath. One clip showed bodies being piled and stacked inside a makeshift room at CST while someone wheeled in another load on a bloodied wheelbarrow, with blood dripping onto the floor. The sanitised footage shown on television didn't come remotely close to what actually happened inside that station.

So yes, us millennials lived through an era where we went to work knowing that the crime of simply boarding the wrong train, getting on the wrong bus, eating at the wrong restaurant, or standing on the wrong street at the wrong fucking moment could get you blown to pieces or riddled with bullets.

Some of us literally went to work wondering, somewhere at the back of our minds, whether this would be the commute we wouldn't come home from.

So please, spare us millennials this sanctimonious horseshit about Rang De Basanti and what some Bollywood movie supposedly should have taught us about how to vote.

A girl traveling with a valid 1AC ticket was allegedly forced to give up her own reserved seat

because a ticketless VIP claiming to be a "Judge" wanted it.

A guy had booked a Lower Berth for his sister because she suffers from drop foot,

a medical condition that makes climbing to an upper berth extremely difficult.

However, shortly after the train departed, a ticketless woman,

who allegedly claimed to be a Judge, entered the cabin accompanied by the Police and the TTE.

When the family explained the passenger's medical condition and refused to give up their reserved seat,

the woman allegedly threatened to have them removed from the train.

Even more shockingly,
the TTE and the Police allegedly sided with her,

forcing the medically vulnerable passenger to move to the Upper Berth despite her condition.

A complaint was also filed through RailMadad,

but according to the family, no timely assistance was provided.

the biggest question is this

Has VIP culture become more important

than the rights of passengers with valid reserved tickets and genuine medical needs ?

Do you think
a reserved ticket and a passenger's medical needs should ever be ignored because of someone's influence or position ?

NEW: 70 year old man files a $35 million claim against the city of San Diego, California after he tripped on a damaged sidewalk.

The man reportedly was knocked unconscious from the fall, breaking his back and neck.

Attorney William Berman says his client tripped on the metal base of a parking meter that had been removed.

“They protrude about an inch to two inches from the sidewalk. The city needs to make sure they’re taking out these bases from the sidewalks,” he said.

There is a group called Aasra here in Bengaluru that donated stationary , bags and books to 400 kids of government school in outskirts of Bangaluru . Also organized an Annual Day event and carnival for them. Have been doing it for last few years . It’s just that most Jain’s work without wanting to be in limelight !

And why is eating animals fo important for you ?! It’s the same argument whites used to allow them to use blacks or women as slaves !!! But there were a few people who abhorred it ! Same is with people who follow Ahimsa . If your Dharma places importance on strict vegetarianism, Ahimsa, and certain lifestyle practices, it is natural to prefer neighbors and communities where these values are understood and respected.

This is not about hatred, discrimination, or feeling superior to others.

It is about avoiding unnecessary conflicts over food habits, religious practices, and daily living. Peaceful coexistence is often easier when people share similar expectations and sensitivities.

Others have the right to live according to their beliefs.

You have the right to live according to yours.

Protecting your values is not intolerance. It is preserving an identity and way of life that has been passed down through generations.

Practice your Dharma with confidence, while respecting the freedom of others to practice theirs.

Public Statement

I would like to sincerely thank all media organizations, journalists, and reporters who covered this issue and helped bring attention to the concerns that were raised. Your interest and coverage played an important role in ensuring that the matter received the attention it deserved.

However, I now request all media representatives to kindly refrain from visiting our property and housing society for further coverage of this issue.

For nearly a week, the residents of the society have experienced continuous disruption due to repeated visits, interviews, and media activity in the common areas. While the coverage was appreciated, it is important that normalcy returns for all residents.

I am pleased to state that the dispute has now been resolved through dialogue and cooperation. The white patti that was at the center of the disagreement has been removed, and the affected area has been restored and repainted to its original condition. The matter has therefore reached a satisfactory conclusion.

I believe that when a dispute is resolved peacefully and constructively, it is equally important to know when to close the chapter and move forward. In the interest of maintaining harmony, respecting the privacy of residents, and allowing the society to function normally, I consider this issue closed.

I once again thank the media for its support and understanding, and I respectfully request everyone to allow the residents to return to their daily lives without further disturbance.

An ambulance carrying a critical patient was stopped for 5 minutes to allow the CM's convoy to pass through first in Jaipur. The traffic police can be heard shamelessly saying, “Arrey, oxygen de to rakhi hai yaar... Maine ishaara kar diya hai, band kar de (to switch off the ambulance siren).”

Even a 2-year-old child is aware of Modi's usual script of letting ambulances pass during his roadshows. However, the reality is quite different. His own ministers and CMs are well aware of his theatrics, which is why they don't follow the practice themselves.
