@Quackers48@EpochTimes IF….one person’s socialism is one person‘s neighborliness you might also say: one person‘s conservatism, is another person‘s common sense.
@marceelias ‘ A FEDERAL JUDGE’.
One appointed person…thinks he has more power than a President elected by millions. And you praise it? Tells me all I need to know about you.
@NYCMayor Good to know you’re one more politician that doesn’t understand the meaning of the word “temporary”. Psssst. Mr. Mayor…read the ‘act’ ( obviously SCOTUS did ). It was never crafted, intended or issued to be a pathway to citizenship or permanent residence. Really.
You make a good point. And it’s like public housing. When you look at a public housing project when it’s first opened, it’s clean bright Safe secure and actually a nice place to live. Come back eight months to 12 months later it’s not so much that way. Come back a couple of years later, and it looks like the same slum you tore down to build what is now the new slum. There’s a reason for that. Something about teaching a man to fish and giving a man a fish. Something about not having skin in the game. You can’t allow people to immigrate and prop them up financially with no skin in the game. They must be incentivized to assimilate to the customs, language, and culture of their host country. When you don’t compel that, they will forever be in their hearts and minds “citizens” of where they came from and just “residents” of where they are. Free lunch is never free for the person who makes it.
I haven’t checked the AI engines or ask Google yet, but I think the donations to the government of Haiti is in the billions if not hundreds of millions over the last decade. What we need to do is change the government. But.. we’re not in the regime change business in Haiti. At least not yet. Give it time. I’m sure the next Democrat president will change that.
@lawler4ny OK. This is a reasoned argument not something canned or reflective of today’s bought and paid for social media talking points, but I disagree with you. Temporary is temporary. It doesn’t mean 14 years or 16 years.
@RepDWStweets Breaking news.
The Supreme Court of the United States recognized the meaning of the word ‘temporary’.
In other breaking news, Representative Debbie Shultz, does not.
