@stefanoscalia Moved to sf last year. I’ve lived in 6 cities in the US and it’s the saddest place I’ve lived. It’s infuriating given how privileged this city is. But the worse part is that people think is normal and it’s ok and they keep blaming covid.
@AOC What about the other 219 countries it operates in that don’t allow lobbying?
Also blaming one company that’s been in the market for 15 years vs the poor policies that states/cities have to foster affordability…
@MissJilianne I don't think people understand what unsupervised fsd for customers mean. Tesla would need to take responsibility for injury/death/property. And they're definitely not doing that in the foreseeable future. And no one asks them how they plan to do that
I once bought a Tesla Model X from a guy who bought an entire fleet of them, thinking that they would become self-driving and he would make a fortune renting them on Tesla's Robotaxi app.
That was 6 years ago.
Now, history is repeating itself.
@robin_j_brooks If there’s something Mexico is not is a puzzle. If you wanted to learn it would be easy. The de facto stagnation goes way longer than a decade. More like 3 or 4. And it’s mostly about government bc no matter who is in power it’s top 3 most corrupt countries in the world.

I'm curious what this means for everyone who has already purchased FSD outright and wants to buy another Tesla in the future. Can they still transfer FSD? Will they get some sort of credits instead?
@robin_j_brooks You’ve been writing for a week about this sharing few data points (gdp growth, fdi, exports…) Even when Mexico was “growing” it wasn’t really. As a fellow economist this is one of those cases that you have to be there to understand the “why” and it’s not pretty. I did once.
@ICannot_Enough@garyblack00 google will acquire a car company, if the plan is to have autonomous cars outside big cities. But if Tesla competition is in the mkts that concentrate 90% of rides (big metro areas) then the focus of Tesla in Robotaxi is dumb. I’ve always said the best use of fsd is not Robotaxi
@EdLudlow I do the drive you do every day. Several times these weeks with the light fog that reflects the sun the car has been blinded particularly on 101 before the golden gate and it disengaged in the turns before the golden gate which is not ideal.
When people in Europe or other countries ask me why/how Americans could vote for someone like Trump again. I always go through everything democrats do/did. It seems dems don’t understand that Trump didn’t win democrats did everything to lose. And they simply don’t learn.
@henrywinter I have tickets for 10 games ~35k. FIFA is just extracting my surplus in case I wanted to sell. Resellers won’t be able to sell tickets for a very high premium (except a couple of games ie Arg vs Por). You just minimize the black market. After World Cup everyone will do the same
@elonmusk@teslaownersSV Do a Space with her. Tell her she can bring any scientists/engineers she wants and just have a conversation. Some times people simply don’t understand what they don’t know.
@MissJilianne Most people in the community don’t understand that their 100% rate of no disengagement trips is bs. And until Tesla actually takes responsibility, fsd is not worth it for 99% of people. I just had an incident with 14.2 while showing it to some fam…
I did today with my wife’s fam. V14.2 in the highway Bay Area sun blinded it and it hit the brakes in a corner before the golden gate and told me to immediately take over…
The overall reception of FSD v14 has been very good. The path to autonomy is getting clearer.
The overwhelmingly largest hurdle to personal use of autonomy (not Robotaxi) is personal experience and adoption.
Thanksgiving in the United States has traditionally been a holiday where family and friends come together and discuss new things going on in their lives.
I would encourage anyone that has FSD to take a family member or a friend and put them in the driver seat of v14. This is the only way to truly understand what is happening.
Butts in seats. @Tesla_AI
Nothing will change unless/until Tesla actually takes responsibility for what the car does. Incentives matter and even if Tesla calls it unsupervised but you’re still responsible then it’s not worth it for 99% of people. And no one has asked them how they plan to do this.
Half of Tesla die hard fans haven’t yet tried v14.
0% of non-Tesla fans have probably tried v14.
Tesla die hard fans are < 1% of the population.
It’s about to get weird!
@28delayslater It’s a price problem first. I went to the delivery event and that day I decided to buy an X instead of the cyber truck. They will never be able (or it doesn’t seem to at least) to decrease the price by 40%…
