This exquisite piece of filigree wood craft is a miniature replica of one of the windows of the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, famed for its exquisite and intricate “Jali” windows that are spider web fine, depicting the intricate intertwining branches of the ‘Tree of life’.

Sadeli is an exceptional woodcraft mastered exclusively by the skilled artisans of Petigara community native to Surat, Gujarat. Sadeli is a form of ancient marquetry brought to Surat by the Parsis from Persia.
