Indiana groups of Students Demand Action for Gun Sense In America. We are volunteer run and we don’t reflect official views of Moms Demand Action or Everytown
4.6 million American children live in homes with guns that are both loaded and unlocked. #BeSMART for kids: Always store guns locked, unloaded, and separate from ammunition. Keep all codes, keys, and combinations out of sight.
Today, Republicans in the Virginia General Assembly chose a familiar response to the mass shooting in VA Beach: complete & utter inaction.
Come November, Virginians will have the power to reject lawmakers who do the NRA’s bidding & we'll help them do it. https://t.co/QzJ5ERZ9se
The gun safety movement is standing united and strong in the fight to save lives 💪.
On days like today and every day, we’re proud to work with @csgv, @amarch4ourlives, @bradybuzz, @momsdemand, @everytown & the American people to build a safer future. #gvpsession
#WearOrange because the gun violence epidemic must stop. Donate or volunteer @AMarch4OurLives, @Everytown@MomsDemand and work towards a safer world.

Last week, it was Virginia Beach. But day after day and year after year, too many families and communities are shattered by senseless gun violence. We can't get numb to this. On National Gun Violence Awareness Day, pledge to speak out, #WearOrange — and vote — to protect lives.
Today on National Gun Violence Awareness Day, Americans from coast to coast are wearing orange to honor victims and survivors of gun violence, and to call attention to this crisis that takes 100 lives and injures hundreds more every single day. #WearOrange
When it comes to arming teachers, "students and parents of color worry that allowing guns into classrooms will put black, Latino, and Native American students, who are already subject to harsher discipline than their white classmates, in harm’s way." https://t.co/P4iDgpeTl7
Here’s how the NRA is trying to distract from its own crises this week:
- Racist commentary on @replucymcbath’s win
- Encouraging their followers to troll @MomsDemand founder @shannonrwatts
- Responding to a school shooting with policies that would make students less safe
President Trump is about to speak at the NRA's annual convention. Instead of watching him pander to the gun lobby, take a minute to remember just a few of the young Americans we've lost to gun violence since Parkland.
Today, Indiana @MomsDemand will again go before #INlegis to state our opposition to a bill that incentivizes arming teachers.
Those shirts mean one thing: Indiana Moms supporters will never stop speaking up for our right to live free from gun violence. #ExpectUs#KeepGoing
Laurelle Maubert, Lilliana Resnick and Navian Scarlett saw problem of gun violence in their community and knew they wanted to help create change, so they started a local #StudentsDemandAction chapter. 💪https://t.co/IdL4Js1wRw
Mr. Seaman has asked that we ask our legislators about lack of consequences for parents who do not use responsible firearms storage. We owe him at least that. #StudentsDemandAction
Yet parents who don’t take precautions to secure their firearms and ammunition properly then have their child shoot up their school don’t get penalized?
Contact state legislators and ask they why they aren’t passing bills to protect students and children

40 years for taking 10 lives, injuring 13 and traumatizing a community isn’t justice. Santa Fe deserves better.
Call/write to the U.S. Attorney's Office in the S District of TX to demand they file federal charges.

We’re currently in a time where students are reporting record high levels of stress, anxiety, and depression.
Our schools need serious mental health funding and proper guidance counselors that aren't just paid schedulers but are ACTUAL guidance counselors.
The Santa Fe community deserves justice just as much as Parkland. 40 years for all he destroyed is absurd.
Call 713-567-9000 to demand the murderer be federally charged.
