This beautiful girl was sadly abandoned at kennels. Her name is Sherry and she is just over 1 year old. Sherry is a German shepherd cross according to her microchip. Sherry understandably was a little shy and reserved at first but after only a couple of days she gained trust in kennel staff and became her playful, happy self.
Sherry knows some basic commands including “sit”, she responds well to training and has a biddable nature.
We are unsure if Sherry has ever been around children so would need a child free home or potentially homes with older teen children only. Sherry has already had a litter of puppies, whilst still being a puppy herself.
Spaying must be carried out as per our adoption agreement. Sherry is a fairly placid temperament for a young shepherd, she enjoys her toys & splashing around in our paddling pool before she leans in for a fuss. In her kennel, she tries her best to stay clean but she may still need a gentle reminder when it comes to housetraining.
Sherry has previously lived with another male dog that she got along with well, she also has shown positive interactions towards the dogs she is kennelled near so could live with another dog that is well suited to her. Sherry is fairly strong on the lead so will need a capable handler, active enough to provide her with the exercise and training she needs.

The warden said to me today ‘she feels sick’ thinking about their fate.
These 2 came into the pound together but can be separated. They have been separate since arriving a few weeks ago. But do enjoy when they get to see each other.
They are out of time and need rescue offers now before it’s too late.
Minnie is a playful girl full of energy who loves to play with humans.
Mickey is a gentle boy who loves affection and to show off his tricks for treats.
Minnie’s behaviour in kennels: If a dog walks past her whilst she’s in the paddocks (in her kennel she just stands there), she will run towards the mesh and bark following the dog, sometimes with her tail wagging other times without. It is unknown whether this is simply due to frustration as she’s not been able to be properly exercised or not. This would need to be further assessed by any rescue.
Mickey’s behaviour in kennels: He seems fine with other dogs unless a dog is reactive to him first in which case he reacts back. Although this has only been seen in one instance with a dog who reacted aggressively towards him. Otherwise he has not been reactive to any other dogs and isn’t bothered when they pass him or visa versa.

Please retweet in the South of #England and #London many dogs end up in a ' Waste Management Facility'. From there, rescues can take them, the more popular breeds get taken first. Every week we then see the 'surplus' posted by volunteers (pound pullers) who try to find these forgotten souls a safe rescue space before they are killed on day 8 💔💔💔💔💔

The councils will not allow the public to adopt these dogs. They will say they do not have the resources to assess all dogs and potential homes.
There are more stray dogs in the large cities but I know even in rural places like Carmarthenshire, the local shelters struggle to keep up with the numbers of dogs being dumped in council pounds.

The answer is to deal with the root of the problem, introduce new legislation re breeding and ownership and ban online pet selling sites‼️‼️‼️
Facebook and TIKTok have already banned the sales of pets but this goes unchecked with it seeming almost impossible to report those selling pets on the platforms.
Seeing the link between unscrupulous breeders and online sales, Gumtree Ireland have banned the sales of pets on their platform.
In a recent tv show hosted by Pete Wickes, Dogs Trust stated that they are so full sometimes they have to leave dogs in council pounds where they can be killed after just 7 days.
