bukan "indonesia stock exchange" yang diterjemahin jadi bursa efek indonesia, tapi justru sebaliknyaa. nama institusi aslinya emang bursa efek indonesia (BEI), trus dialihbahasakan ke inggris jadi indonesia stock exchange (idx) buat branding ke pasar global & investor asing.

terus istilah "bursa efek" itu sendiri bukan terjemahan langsung dari stock exchange, tapi kata serapan dari bahasa belanda yang udah dipake dari zaman kolonial. kata "bursa" dari beurs (pasar modal) dan "efek" dari effecten (surat berharga/sekuritas).

jadi emang istilah bahasa indonesianya udah ada duluan dan udah baku dari dulu, bukan hasil cocoklogi translator masa kini 🤩
