As time goes by and I process my brother’s death, I realize I’m living on borrowed time... obscure films, all things Bangla, PSB, Diasporic Literature, Trek.
I think some people are NOT QUITE GETTING that we’re living — ACTUALLY LIVING — in a fucking disaster movie, and we may not be the hero, heroine or part of the main cast. Do what you can to save yourself and your loved ones, people, but also be that character who saves strangers.
@LukeHunsinger93@BRICSinfo Are you American? Then you're part of a country where a shit ton of people never even clean their arses after defecating and yet own nuclear weapons. Deal with THAT first. I think you smell worse tbh.
@Gkmastrology I thought the stomach/digestive tract was the 4th house, the 5th rules the heart and cardiovascular system, and the 6th - overall endocrine health and the nervous system.
Making India stop importing Russian oil (40% of our total oil imports) while committing us to buying half a trillion worth of American products; imposing 18% tariffs on Indian goods while at the same time having 0% tariffs on American goods, is a great trade deal. For America.
Dear @narendramodi. Every nation has images of greats on its currency - Darwin, Austen, Dickens, Faraday, in the case of UK. Only we have Mahatma Gandhi and no one else. Can't understand this stubbornness.
We demand others - Raman, Dinkar, Ramanujan, Bose, Vivekananda, Kalam.
They honoured even in death an India that never honoured them while they were alive.
Pleased to announce the publication by @PenguinIndia of Forgotten Heroes of Indian Science, the untold saga of brave and brilliant men who changed the world.

A grand celebration of Indian culture in Malaysia!
A highlight of the community programme in Kuala Lumpur was a dance performance which has set a record in Malaysia.
Congratulations to all those who took part in the dance performance.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dedicated his life fighting for equity and justice. He taught us that even in the face of intimidation and discrimination, we must never stop working towards a better future – a lesson that feels especially relevant today.
Change has never been easy. It takes persistence and determination, and requires all of us to speak out and stand up for what we believe in. As we honor Dr. King today, let’s draw strength from his example, and do our part to build on his legacy.
West Bengal hits a new low.
At Beldanga, Murshidabad, ZEE 24 Ghanta journalist Soma Maity was chased, assaulted and molested by a violent mob, her cameraman attacked in front of police who did nothing.
And the CM’s response?
👉 “She should have avoided going there.”
Victim-blaming a woman journalist.
Shielding mobs.
Passing violence and arson as “religious programmes.”
Blaming BJP and the Centre.
Zero accountability.
This is not governance. This is abdication.
In Mamata Banerjee’s Bengal, lawbreakers are protected and truth-tellers are punished.
Women’s safety. Press freedom. Rule of law—ALL under attack.
How much lower will Bengal fall?
@smerconish I think all primaries should be open so everyone can vote. I've been a Democrat for a long time but my voter affiliation is independent bc I am sick and tired of both parties telling me what to think and for whom to vote.
My heart is breaking for you @romyreiner ... I've lost my entire family... my brother, my mom, my dad... ALL of us LOVED your dad's work, his compassion, and genuine love for us all. Imagining the pain you're in right now having lost both your parents is breaking my heart.
