@PIAEKGdoc1@olsonplanner I have a lot of respect for APPs, but unlike the thought of many who feel they can handle the same breadth of dz that Fam Med and GIM can, I disagree. There is not enough time in an APP training to introduce them to the variety of problems we learn to handle in an IM Residency.

I think that book “I Don’t Know How She Does It” (pub 2002) fueled a lot of the “you can have it all” falsehood.

She thought ppl (esp women) are more cognizant of the amt of work it takes to raise kids & poss secondary harm to career. Women now look around and think if they do everything, something’s gotta give, and they don’t want that something to be themselves. (5/6)
