A Trump insider opened a $51,000,000 oil short position — hours before Trump announced a ceasefire with Iran. This guy is now 16 for 16. $170 million in profit. A perfect streak.
This is not a talented trader.
"We placed the bet." "The ceasefire dropped." "We cashed out." Sixteen times in a row.
That is not skill. That is not instinct. That is not research.
That is someone who knows what is coming before it comes.
Think about what that actually means. A private individual is placing a $51 million bet that oil prices are about to collapse — hours before a sitting president announces a ceasefire that collapses oil prices. Not once. Sixteen times. Zero losses.
There are only two explanations and both should terrify you.
Either someone inside the White House — or with direct access to it — is leaking ceasefire negotiations to traders before diplomats, before the press, before the American people hear a single word. That is insider trading. That is corruption. That is a federal crime.
Or the timing of the announcement itself is being shaped around the trade. Which is worse.
This is not a genius investor who reads the news faster than you do. The news hadn't happened yet. He wasn't reading the news. He was getting a phone call.
While Americans were watching the ceasefire announcement and feeling relieved — somebody already knew. Somebody had already bet $51 million on it. And somebody was already counting their winnings.
You are not watching a free market. You are watching a White House with a side hustle. Via~ Really American
For I was hungry, and you voted against the school lunch program that provided me my only meal of the day, I was thirsty and you voted against clean water legislation, a stranger and you voted to lock me in a cage at an I.C.E. concentration camp at the border.
@CrimsonCast Sorry if already known, but I did not see it publicized anywhere. The Upland championship cans are out in stores. Got mine at Kroger on College Mall just a bit ago.
@DustinDopirak Hope the players have a locker room slush fund where they get paid out anytime they can successfully use 'tank' in a press conference when not talking about actual tanking.
It’s been awhile since I wrote about something that I care about. So I decided to write about the damndest thing I’ve ever seen: Indiana winning a national championship in football. https://t.co/kvEXaKk6Lq
So we're exporting less and importing more -- which is the exact opposite of what Trump, Vance, Cass, Navarro, etc said would happen.
But that happens to be exactly what most trade experts and economists predicted.
Huh. Weird.
Okay so,
1) an American citizen exercises his First Amendment right to peaceably assemble and his Second Amendment right to bear arms, out of apparent concern that a tyrannical federal government is violating basic protections afforded under the Constitution
2) after coming to the aid of an unarmed woman who's been shoved to the ground by a masked federal agent, the citizen -- impaired by pepper spray, holding nothing but a cell phone -- is dragged to the ground by a group of other masked agents
3) during the scuffle, shortly after one masked agent removes the weapon from the restrained citizen's person, several other masked agents open fire, unloading 10 shots from close range and killing the unarmed citizen
4) despite video evidence, a spokesman for the federal government says the citizen approached agents with a gun, provoked a violent confrontation, and planned to "massacre" law enforcement
You really want to defend this? Go ahead. Just know, you look like an absolute fool.
Hey. Wrote about Indiana football fandom, being in on the joke, and how to process something you never even considered to be a dream. https://t.co/ckAaX4bvAk
Trump has transformed the justice system into a Putin-style autocratic protection racket. The wealthy are not audited or investigated, if convicted they are pardoned. Political opponents are targeted. Unidentified masked agents grab people off the street, and protesters are shot.
Mitch McConnell just said the quiet part out loud on Greenland:
We already have everything we need.
Greenland already cooperates.
Our Arctic access already exists.
What Trump is proposing isn’t strategy, it’s burning allied trust for nothing.
“Incinerating the hard-won trust of loyal allies” is not strength. It’s self-sabotage.
Can we please have Trump’s plan to have taxpayers reimburse oil companies for their costs in Venezuela put in an appropriations bill so representatives of the people can vote on the record whether they support that like the Founders intended? Congress still exists, right?
@IndianaFootball@TheOmarCooper Watching on my phone in the driveway at my inlaws getting ready to take family pictures at my father-in-law's 80th bday party. He's a Purdue grad 😂
