The situation in Gaza is extremely difficult. There is heavy gunfire and strikes, and the sounds of tanks and military vehicles are getting closer to different areas. We still don’t fully understand what is happening.

A short while ago, I was speaking with my friend who lives near the Yellow Line. Throughout the call, I could hear the sounds of tanks and military vehicles moving toward them, along with very heavy gunfire from quadcopter drones.

He told me that all of his family members are gathered together in one room right now. No one is sleeping, and no one knows what will happen next. They are simply sitting together, trying to stay close because they don’t know what this night has in store for them.

I ended the call a short while ago, and the drones are still flying above me at a frighteningly low altitude. I’m writing these words while hearing them, thinking about my friend and his family who are still there.

What hurts the most is that I searched for any coverage of what is happening and found almost nothing explaining the situation. There is a strange media silence, while at this very moment, entire families in Gaza are sitting together in one room, afraid and waiting to see what will happen to them.
