The CDC’s vaping scare, amplified by alarmist media coverage, confused the public about the risk of vaping THC—the active chemical in marijuana—while discouraging smokers from switching to a safer source of nicotine. https://t.co/dY8EV9s8iw
Yesterday I spoke at hearing on the government response to lung illnesses and rising youth e-cigarettes use. They say politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies. I fear that's what's going on here.
@GregTHR Thanks for the update @GregTHR! I always start checking when I first wake up, throughout the day, and before I go to bed. Never used Twitter before this mess.
This waiting is killing me @GregTHR@GrimmGreen@VapinGreek ! I hope they release their statement soon so that I can figure out how upset to be. I'm losing sleep over this.
If FDA decides that vape shops have the regulatory equivalent of diplomatic immunity, that'd be better than a ban.
But I worry that Conway, even though she has pushed for this ban, does not actually know what FDA is banning. Giving false hope to vapers will just make it worse.
@mbsiegel@reddit Good luck! Last one I saw of a vaping supporter seemed to have a lot of trolls and what I suspect were bad actors trying to lead the narrative.
@CASAAmedia Fantastic news! I'm so glad that we're making a difference. I just hope that it sticks. I am somewhat terrified that it'll come crashing down on a higher-level, since it's being pushed back on this level.
@ECIGattorney@SuckMyMod It's just part of the greater smear-campaign going on, throwing shade whether or not it's true. What does the truth matter to them, at this point? They've made it clear that it is, at best, very little.
