Dear @Socceroos,
Please tell Tony Popovic that he has our permission to play the haramest of haram ball tomorrow morning. Anything for a win.
All the best,
Every single Australian
I literally wake up at 2am some mornings in the UK just to watch the A-League. It’s a better watch than the Prem sometimes. is it pretty? No. Is it fun? Yes. Would I rather it than Man City vs Liverpool. Yes. Dont knock something until you’ve watched it.
@Scrivy2 They’d prefer it because it’s suits their snobbish narrative. Australia set up to play a certain way, they executed it to perfection, but because it wasn’t tiki-taka….
Ange Postecoglou before kick off: “Australians are built on doing what others think they can’t, and that will be the challenge tonight.
“Australians, particularly as footballers, won’t bow down to anyone.”
Challenge met.
Our boys are QUICK ⚡️⚡️

The magnitude of last night's win? One player... worth more than 26 👀
Well, on paper, at least.
Türkiye's Arda Güler is valued higher than Australia's entire World Cup squad combined 🤯
Once, developing leagues would sign marquee veterans on huge wages to boost their international profile. Today, more and more are seeing value in another route: developing and nurturing young talent to be sold, at profit, to more competitive leagues.
The fashion has spread in particular throughout members of the Asian Football Confederation, where top Japanese and Korean clubs have realised any short-term losses are more than offset by the long-term sustainable growth provided by selling generations of quality to Europe. Now, teenagers are flooding one of the Confederation’s oft-forgotten members: Australia’s A-League.
@JakeEntwistle has used @SkillCorner data to pick out the interesting and exciting Men's A-League prospects that could be moving to bigger and better things before you know it.
