Kamalini received Rs 60 lakh for winning gold in a team sport, where as Vidhya Ramaraj gets Rs 30 lakh for getting a bronze in an individual event. Not taking anything away from Kamalini, but this has to change. Individual events should get more. @CMOTamilnadu

Mga atecco, before complaining about the quality of the Alex Eala livestream, maybe remember that there is no host-broadcaster live world feed for tennis at the Asian Games. Cignal literally had to bring in its own equipment to Nagoya so we could watch Alex live. ๐ญ So yes, we can wish for a better production, but letโs also appreciate the fact that weโre actually getting live coverage of her matches. They went the extra mile to make this happen. ๐ต๐ญ #AsianGames

Word of advice for @SonySportsNetwk - Pls read newspapers. It'll save you, and your viewers, a lot of trouble. There are some fine sports journalists in English, Hindi and vernacular dailies who report on Oly sports. And pls credit them while you lift info from them. Thanks.
๐จ #BREAKING : AFI TO APPROACH CAS OVER SHAILI SINGHโS JUMP MEASUREMENT!
The Athletics Federation of India is set to approach the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over the disputed measurement of Shaili Singhโs fourth attempt in the womenโs long jump final at the Asian Games 2026.
Shailiโs fourth jump was officially measured at 6.41m. She alleges that the fourth attempt was measured from the wrong mark.
According to sources, AFI protested immediately after the event, but the appeal was rejected.
โWe showed them our video, which was clearly proving our point, but they showed their own video, which was not clear. We asked for another angle, which they denied,โ Shaili said.
Shaili eventually finished 4th, missing the bronze medal by just 4cm after Chinaโs Tan Mengyi jumped 6.46m with her final attempt.
