The Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM), under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, convened a brainstorming session to identify real-world governance challenges that can be addressed through space-based and geospatial technologies as part of the proposed Space Tech Hackathon at Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027.

The session brought together government departments, domain experts and ecosystem stakeholders to explore innovative applications of satellite data, GIS, AI/ML, IoT and geospatial intelligence across sectors such as agriculture, disaster management, water resources, urban development, infrastructure, environment and land governance.

Through this initiative, Gujarat aims to transform governance challenges into innovation opportunities by connecting departments with startups, innovators and SpaceTech experts to co-create scalable, technology-driven solutions for public service delivery and evidence-based decision-making. The most promising solutions are envisioned to be showcased at VGGS 2027.

Ukai A Remarkable Blending of Nature and Tourism

Last Sunday, I visited the eco-tourism and travel sites at Ukai to evaluate opportunities for tourism development while prioritizing environmental conservation. Alongside officials, I discussed various aspects of building eco-friendly tourism infrastructure that preserves Ukai’s natural beauty.

The catchment area of the Ukai Dam in Tapi district features a unique combination of nature, water reservoirs, and lush greenery. Developing this region into a key eco-tourism hub will not only boost local tourism activities but also unlock new opportunities for employment and local economic growth.

તા. ૨૮ સપ્ટેમ્બર ૨૦૨૬ના રોજ ગુજરાતના ભરૂચ, બોટાદ, ગાંધીનગર અને મહેસાણા જિલ્લાઓમાં રાષ્ટ્રીય વિજ્ઞાન નાટક મહોત્સવ (NSDF) ૨૦૨૬–૨૭ની જિલ્લા કક્ષાની સ્પર્ધાઓનું સફળતાપૂર્વક આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું.

ચારેય જિલ્લાઓમાં કુલ ૪૬ ટીમોએ ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક ભાગ લીધો:

“વિજ્ઞાન અને સમાજ (Science & Society)” વિષય અંતર્ગત વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ કૃત્રિમ બુદ્ધિમત્તા (AI), ઇલેક્ટ્રિ�� વાહનો (EV), આંતરતારકીય આવાસ (Interstellar Habitats) અને મહાસાગરોની પુનઃસ્થાપના (Restoring Oceans) જેવા સમકાલીન વિષયો પર સર્જનાત્મક અને પ્રેરણાદાયી વિજ્ઞાન નાટકો રજૂ કર્યા.

નાટ્યકળાના માધ્યમથી વિજ્ઞાનને સરળ, રસપ્રદ અને લોકભોગ્ય બનાવી વિદ્યાર્થીઓમાં વૈજ્ઞાનિક અભિગમ, સર્જનાત્મકતા અને સામાજિક જાગૃતિ વિકસાવવાનો આ મહત્વપૂર્ણ પ્રયાસ રહ્યો.

આ આયોજન ગુજરાત સરકારના વિજ્ઞાન અને પ્રૌદ્યોગિકી વિભાગ અંતર્ગત GUJCOST દ્વારા નેશનલ કાઉન્સિલ ઓફ સાયન્સ મ્યુઝિયમ્સ (NCSM), ભારત સરકારના સંયુક્ત ઉપક્રમે કરવામાં આવ્યું.

Congratulations to @kaynessemicon and @BharatSemitech on the signing of an MoU at the Gujarat Pavilion, SEMICON India 2026.

Under the MoU, Bharat Semitech will manufacture semiconductor equipment in Sanand and support the development and delivery of customised equipment for Kaynes Semicon’s OSAT facility.

This partnership marks another step towards strengthening Gujarat’s semiconductor ecosystem by building capabilities across semiconductor manufacturing and equipment.

ઊર્જાસભર ભારત–2047 માટે ગુજરાતના યુવાનોનો વૈજ્ઞાનિક સંકલ્પ

ગુજરાત રાજ્યમાં 17 સપ્ટેમ્બર થી 17 ઓક્ટોબર 2026 દ��મ્યાન ઉજવવામાં આવી રહેલા “સેવા સંકલ્પ અભિયાન” અંતર્ગત ગુજકોસ્ટ દ્વારા તા. 17 સપ્ટેમ્બર, 2026ના રોજ ગુજરાતના તમામ જિલ્લાઓમાં જિલ્લા કક્ષાના નેશનલ સાયન્સ સેમિનાર–2026નું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.

આ વર્ષની થીમ “Indian Energy Basket 2047: Prospects and Challenges” થકી 8 થી 10 ધોરણના વિદ્યાર્થીઓને ભારતની ભાવિ ઊર્જા જરૂરિયાતો તથા આ ક્ષેત્રમાં રહેલા પડકારો અંગે અભ્યાસ, સંશોધન અને વિચારવિમર્શ કરવાની તક પૂરી પાડી હતી.
