The US is deporting some former Afghan Republic soldiers who were relocated to America but were never granted Green Cards or permanent residency.

Instead of deporting them to Afghanistan, they are being sent to Pakistan.

The real question is: Why Pakistan?

This raises serious concerns about a possible US–Pakistan plan to use these former soldiers, on whom the US spent billions of dollars, for a new regional security agenda, potentially destabilizing the region rather than allowing their resources and military experience to go to waste.
