Thoroughly enjoyed Dr Andrea Connor’s session on the @Whitlam_Inst Whitlam Prime Ministerial Collection this morning. Resisting nostalgia, contemporary relevance, and the temporal envelope. #InASA2022#ItsTimeAgain
Australia does not have a national postdoc scheme. @arc_gov_au Aust Postdoc Fellowship (APD) ended in 2011. DECRA replaced it, but few recent PhDs apply. APD was for PhDs < 3 yrs exp. 110 grants for 3 yrs. ARC also targeted 15% Discovery $ to "ECR-only" projects (< 5 yrs PhD) 1/n
We’re raising money for @boeknow and Frontier War Stories.
Boe recently had his podcast equipment stolen out of his car and we’d like a hand replacing his gear so he can get back to making the show.

As part of a jam-packed 2022 Sunshine Coast Open House program, Dr Amy Clarke will be presenting on 'Big Things' in architecture, history, and heritage at the Banana Bender on 6 October. I just grabbed a ticket. See you there.

@PeterWoelert Centralised admin through CRM and no names on replies. Processes revised but new “forms” are just Word documents. Internal requirements for either wet signatures or (gawd) a jpeg of a signature.
Wonderful evening listening to Dr Margaret Cook @mcookhistory Bryson Wang @BuiltTechLaw and Dirk Yates reflect on their work and provocations as part of Ultramarine Conversations @uqartmuseum
For #IWD this year I gathered for an hour with 3 #hdr friends. We had decided we would rather hear from each other than commercial breakfast event speakers with people at their peak. We ate crushed grapes and ridiculous biscuits from our uni bags and it was simple and marvellous.
