Fantastic study day coming up, all about the ageing voice. 3rd June 2025
Share widely with all your awesome voice friends! We’d love to see you there. https://t.co/pXtoNODSQg
@SamPhillips33 @voice21oracy @stevewillshaw@theJeremyVine I was the same!! Yelling at the radio and sending in emails. I wish they had got @voice21oracy on that piece rather than hope Joe-public had an idea. I was so frustrated when Jeremy Vine said- so let’s just call Oracy “Elocution lessons” 😠
@ClaireBullShef@RCSLT@stammer Oracy promotes more confidence in our own voices, with all their variation. There is no ‘one size fits all’ formula when working with speaking and listening skills (as we all know as SaLTs), but giving all children more tools is a very good thing.
📰🔥Oracy on the front pages & news headlines! Fantastic to see @UKLabour pledge to give oracy the status it deserves at the heart of the curriculum & recognise the importance of oracy education as a key to unlocking opportunity for all children and young people. @voice21oracy
@GemWP I’m sorry Gemma. They tell you how difficult a diagnosis is and how ruthless the treatment can be, but the waiting- it’s torture. Sending love (and a vote for someone else in charge) xxx
Really insightful account of voice loss from broadcaster, an occupational voice user. Chronic cough and ultimately a diagnosis of adductor spasmodic dysphonia leading to lots of change and reflection. https://t.co/zxvuG2L0QW
