Iceland is an integral part of the European family — and the challenges we face, we face together.

We discussed Iceland’s role in our efforts to strengthen the security and defence of our continent, as well as the evolving geostrategic landscape in the Arctic.

We also addressed the impact of US tariffs on the global economy.

As a member of our Single Market, Iceland’s close integration will be fully taken into account in our collective response.

#EFTA and #Ukraine have signed a modernised FTA to boost trade and support recovery.

The FTA includes:
✅ Digital trade
✅ SMEs
✅ Trade and sustainable development

It also updates provisions on goods, procurement, and IP, deepening EFTA–Ukraine ties.
