We are truly seeing a lot more cases of COVID @uhn these past few days. So much so that staffing is challenging once again. Our inpt admissions have also gone up fro 6 last week to 30 today. We know what works. Mask. Hand washing. Distancing. Vaccination. Pls do it.

1/7 New slide deck released today “Ask Ontario’s Science Table: Omicron Edition” https://t.co/HdZ7rJHVyU which answers questions on how to stay safe and protect our communities this holiday season. Share, screenshot & print.
If the @ongov is supplying free RATs to unvaccinated healthcare and education workers...while the general public is forced to pay up to $40/test to add a layer of protection for gatherings, an explanation is warranted.
Two approaches to choose from:
1) Act now
✅deploy free at home rapid tests
✅accelerate boosters
✅access to better masks
✅improve ventilation
Or
2) wait until hospitals in crisis
✅shut everything down again
Time to choose
Acting proactively with the omicron iceberg on the horizon is the way to go. Risk is a function of both R and prevalence…if we wait for high disease rates in order to act, everything is more difficult and less effective.
It's not- ' first identified in South Africa '

let's help people see the difference.

When I deleted Facebook some years ago over privacy concerns, I missed it for approximately four days. All I have felt since then is liberated. Trust me, it will be ok if you stop using it.
