@stonecoldmirac1@ArachnoTenrec@Matthasnocuts Hi. I played both games. I'd choose 06 over Forces. Even when buggy and unpolished, it was more fun to play and actually memorable. 06 was a game with more passion poured into it than Forces, which I had a hard time trying to enjoy it despite not being 06.
The publisher of the PS2 game I was working on threatened to pull funding if the game didn't maintain a steady 30fps. It ran at 20 at best. We couldn't optimise it any more so eventually just wrote some code that added 10 to the FPS counter. They were happy, game shipped on time
@ingrusee & @indiehivegaming wrote about The Machine's Garden like 2 or 3 times!
This site is super welcoming to indie games of all shapes, sizes, and varying commercial appeal
@nememeny @Brazman_ @DSACostanza That's not how valve's refund system is meant to be used, and shouldn't be a solution for demos. The real solution is to have more demos.
Also GOG let's me refund games up to a whopping thirty days after purchase ๐
What have we learnt today class ?
Regardless of if you like Xbox or PlayStation DRM is bad
And we should demand these companies remove the obstacles that will destroy our long term accessibility and for the preservation of gamings legacy.
@Cobradile94 @JamesHodge2013 @julesmynyddoedd @BasMakesGames @ImpossibleRealm@GameDevKS Never heard of SSSC and Blinx, might wanna check them out when I'm up!
@compa_chino408@StardustWhip @ezbakespring @teebeeYT@NintendoAmerica And if the nintendo console goes out of sale before you can afford it, what are you gonna do?
Barely anybody can afford throwing $60 at a game they can't play now.
