No company should profit from keeping a child compulsively engaged on screens.
@HHSGov is educating families about the harms of excessive screen use, strengthening research into its effects, and encouraging Americans to get off the screens, get active, and Live Real Life.
Cooking together has been a sacred ritual since the beginning of humanity.
Screen time is pulling our kids into isolation—the remedy is connection. One of the best ways to restore that connection is by making meals together.

When my uncle was President, 3% of American kids were obese. Today, it’s 20%. It’s not because our kids suddenly became lazy. It’s because we’ve been mass poisoning them with ultra-processed foods.
@USDA@SecRollins and I changing that by bringing real food and scratch cooking back to America’s schools.
The food system is changing — and FAST.
🎨 26 leading food companies answering the call to eliminate synthetic dyes
🥛 Artificial colors eliminated from milk, cheese & yogurt sold in schools by America’s dairy processors
🍬 Added sugars reduced in flavored school milk
🔎 GRAS reform underway
🥗 Ultra-processed food definition in final review

Now, the transformation is coming to America’s school cafeterias.
“Fast food is EXPENSIVE. A Big Mac meal is like $12 to $14. You can eat three meals for that if you buy smart.”

.@SecKennedy recently visited the @UKYMedicine to meet with students and university leaders working to put nutrition at the center of medical education.
Kentucky has now achieved full participation in the @HHSGov Nutrition Education Initiative, with every medical school in the Commonwealth committed to providing at least 40 hours of nutrition education — or a competency equivalent — throughout medical training.
The University of Kentucky helped lead the way, incorporating culinary medicine into its curriculum and preparing the next generation of physicians to understand the critical role food plays in preventing and managing chronic disease.
To Make America Healthy Again, we must give future doctors the tools to help their patients live healthier lives.
Congratulations to the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine, for incorporating Culinary Medicine into their curriculum. In our opinion the best medical doctor are those ones fully aware of the importance of food in the health of human beings.
Too many mothers are missing timely syphilis testing, with devastating consequences for babies. Thanks to @POTUS, @HHSGov is meeting the challenge by investing $4 million to bring rapid testing in more healthcare settings.
RFK Jr. says food companies that promised to remove synthetic dyes better follow through.
Because if they don’t, there will be consequences.
“By the end of this year, it’ll be almost impossible to find any of the 9 synthetic petroleum dyes anywhere.”
“We have commitments from the industry.”
“If they don’t live up to those commitments, we have a hammer that we can use on them.”
One of the biggest myths in America is that eating healthy costs more.
@ChefGruel explains why real food, whole ingredients, and traditional cooking fats don't have to break the bank—and why learning a few simple cooking techniques can help families eat better while spending less.

Today, I declared a Public Health Emergency for Washington State, giving hospitals and healthcare providers the flexibility they need to respond to these devastating wildfires and protect lives.
I spoke with @GovBobFerguson and made clear that @HHSGov will work alongside state and local leaders to keep care available, support frontline healthcare professionals, and help Washington communities through this emergency. We stand with the people of Washington, and we will not let them face this crisis alone.
Behavioral health leaders from across the healthcare system joined @SecKennedy at HHS last week to commit to improving patient care and outcomes for individuals experiencing mental health conditions and the chronic disease of addiction.
This effort supports President Trump's Great American Recovery Initiative and reinforces our commitment to expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based care, improving outcomes, and helping more Americans achieve lasting recovery.
.@SecKennedy: “We’re understanding more and more the links between mental health disorders and physical disorders, and the link between gut health and mental health illness…We have to start treating this as a single area.”
Need a snack? GO NUTS! A handful of almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, or other nuts is a tasty treat. They are high in monounsaturated fat, which lowers LDL "bad" cholesterol but leaves HDL "good" cholesterol alone. Studies show that people who eat about an ounce of nuts a day are less likely to get heart disease. Keep the portion small, so you limit fat and calories. And avoid those covered in sugar, chocolate, or a lot of salt. https://t.co/b1CIM4rhDG
Every American deserves the opportunity to age with dignity. At @InnovAge in Thornton, Colorado, I met seniors who are building friendships, receiving high-quality care, and remaining in their homes instead of nursing facilities. This is a model of healthcare that strengthens communities while delivering better outcomes.
