thought of something else: Manga. Oh boy, that's a tough one. Thankfully publishers are making big lovely books which western audiences enjoy more. £7-11 per volume for a series can be a lot for people. One-shot, finite titles do way better over the long term

@JamesHunt @neillcameron My main demographic has mid-20s up to 40. People with a bit more income. Plenty of parents by for their younger ones. Not many teenagers

@JamesHunt @neillcameron Students, especially in these times, can't afford to be spending money one these luxury items. I did often have ox uni students splurging after a hefty exam period but more often than not they're too busy reading their proper books.
