Peace is priceless

The argument that we can’t exempt overseas care workers from retrospective settlement extensions because they might leave the sector is not just wrong. It’s cruel.

We should not be keeping care workers in the sector by trapping them in it, at the mercy of sponsors who know they have nowhere else to go. That creates the conditions for exploitation and a race to the bottom.

If we want care workers to stay, the answer is simple: treat them with dignity, improve working conditions, allow them to progress in their careers, move between employers and integrate into our communities.

And honour the five-year route to settlement they came here under.

We have an opportunity to do the right thing.

Firm but fair. Let’s not forget the fair bit.

“I Said I’m Igbo-American, And Some Tribal Bigots In Nigeria Got Angry. Some Even Went As Far As Sending Me Threatening Messages. Now Let Me Respond To All Of You In Igbo Language So You Can Do Your Worst. I’m Proudly Igbo. If You’re Angry, You Go And H@ng Yourselves. If You’re Igbo And You See This Video, Represent Your State And Tell Us Where You’re From So The Hater’s Can Go And D!e.” ~ U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Eze Reacts

Asari's "come to Jesus" moment. Matter of fact, this was detailed by that precious surviving Ibibio mama in the BBC documentary, "SURVIVING BIAFRA," which is probably why the documentary didn't trend as it should. But we'll bring it back to life and make sure it trends, so Nigerians who have been brainwashed with all manner of manufactured and concocted lies against the Igbos can go through their own epiphany, just like our brother, Asari Dokubo.

The whole "Igbo did this, Igbo did that" blame-it-all-on-Igbos has always been a colonial divide-and-rule creation.

But the end has come and the renaissance has begun. Nothing can stop it.

@WarpedLogicHQ @yabaleftonline Church marriage is for white people. Africans are so brainwashed. White people doesn't celebrate traditional marriage but we are compelled to believe that we need to do the two marriage celebration. White and traditional.

[Innocent @Inocentia9k]

@Chi_lady_89 @yabaleftonline U have said all. Only gullible or people church has brainwashed believed that they need church to confirm their marriage.

Someone please call VDM..🇳🇬🎵

[Ngozi @ladyprowess]

I was actually planning to make a post about this because I’ve realised that a lot of these VDM haters deliberately make posts against him because they know VDM lovers will come and drag them. They know it will give them engagement, and a lot of them are using it for exactly that.

So rather than constantly focusing on people who keep dragging him, just ignore them.

Focus on the people who love and support him. Engage with their posts. Retweet them. Comment on them. Let the positive posts get the engagement and let people actually see the amount of love and support he has.

The more you amplify people who genuinely support him, the more that love grows.

But when you spend all your time engaging people who hate him, you’re just giving them unnecessary engagement. You’re helping their posts travel further, and once they realise that posting against VDM brings engagement, they’ll keep doing it.

Stop rewarding the hate with attention. Amplify the love instead.

This girl is offering N1 million to any woman who can convincingly explain to her how marriage benefits men

Bro, I saw thousands of comments, and not more than 5 comments were from women. They all went mute. Not one feminist could explain it to her

She deserves her flowers 🌺
