╌ so, is it weird to be the first person in history to break their arm from jerking off too much, or do you consider that an honor?

@anxiousnature -- the tug, a light buzz is what finally propels Jared forward. An excuse to interact with Evan during the winter break is all he's been waiting for.
"Hey! What did that snow ever do to you?" he calls out in the usual brash tone, adding an innocent inflection to it, acting --
@anxiousnature -- more minutes.
And he doesn’t think about what’s to come, about the mess of feelings they still have to untangle. He even foolishly believes the apology might have been enough. For now, they relish the familiarity of being with each other, and they breathe.
@anxiousnature -- he'd fail him eventually. That he'd disappoint Evan, and himself in the process.
Faced with the fact now, he holds as steady as he can, despite his head lowering with the weight of it.
"Let's be realistic: this was always going to happen. Me getting scared like a --
@anxiousnature -- him if he finally joined the Quidditch team, tell him the story of how he hacked the 'New Jersey Moms Against Video Games' Facebook page for Michael’s birthday. Anything. Like standing outside when the sun gently warms your skin, you tell yourself, I’ll bask in it for a few --

As soon as he says it, Jared feels like he accidentally played the wrong note. For a reason that completely escapes him, they're off key.
Evan's tone sounds off. Stingy, like this could be a reproach. Jared's grin freezes on his face, but the only rational conclusion in this moment seems to be that he's imagining it. Evan just / kissed him /. Why would there be such a brutal switch moments later?
"So, you're --
Is Jared too high off the ground to see the way Evan recoils at the flirty line? Possibly.
His own smile, half-blissful half-smug, doesn't waver. He playfully knocks into Evan's arm.
"Ever heard of a joke?"
Actually, this is the confirmation he needed to be sure that --

“Uhh.”
It takes a moment longer to shake off his surprise. A laugh bubbles out of him, softer than usual, drunk off the kiss.
“So— should I tell phone guy to delete your number, then?”
The entirety of Jared’s insides is sent flying, sucker-punched by the gentle contact of lips against lips.
His hand hangs in midair for a second, while his brain recovers from its short circuit. Sensation floods back his body all at once, warmth rushing to his face, smile --
-- for you.”
And he hands it over to Evan, between casual and awkwardly stilted. Inside sits a slice of strawberry pie. Inside sits a reminder of one of their preferred ways to say 'I care about you'.
It’s not really the mirrored apology that makes Jared furrow his brows, but more so the admission within it.
Of course, he thinks right away, of course Evan didn’t mean any of what he said. Even if he spent the past couple of days losing sight of that truth amidst the thick --
-- more than he thinks.
But before Jared can wrap his head around it, before he can ask if this means there was never a phone number guy at all, Evan changes the subject. Jared looks down at the paper bag like he forgot it was there.
“What? Oh, no. I already had lunch. It’s --
