Victims.
They always see the pain.
But only theirs.
They can’t see
how they bleed all over
people who never cut them.
They need the world
to look through their lenses,
every wound enlarged,
every fault belonging
to someone else.
How do you carry God's presence with you?
This means to bring the character and way of Jesus into whatever room you enter.
You don’t carry God around like an object. You become a person through whom his love, peace, truth, mercy, courage, and goodness can be experienced.
(Part 2)
The sky is bright,
no clouds at all,
but my heart feels heavy.
The world keeps blooming,
while something in me
still feels broken.
Maybe sorrow
doesn’t mean I’ve lost my faith,
or given up on myself
or anyone.
Maybe some wounds
just need time
to sit in the sunshine.
What if we stopped watching life and started living it? I’m 52, & I’m starting again.
Every week, I’m going to try something new, something that helps me become more alive, courageous, creative, healthy, generous, useful, and more like Jesus.
Day 3. And the experiment is already evolving.
This week I’m trying something a little different:
Seven days. Seven different ways of exploring life, faith, creativity, health, culture, and growth.
Sunday: Jesus.
Monday: Make something.
Tuesday: Tell a story.
Maybe each week teaches me what the next week should look like.
That’s part of the experiment.
One question keeps pulling me forward:
What kind of person can I become if I stop talking about the life I want and actually start living it?
I’m figuring it out as I go.
