@ActusDei@apri_sharma Doesn't work. They reject even if KYC is compliant and give no reason.
It's easily the worst investment of my life and I think I just need to write it off.
@ActusDei Going by how difficult it is to get money out of EPF when one really needs it, it's a complete no brainer to stay away from any government linked investment product without even looking at the numbers
@Dhruvapandey This type of sentiment is scary though. Worse than not taking efforts to build one ourselves is reacting by banning these things and burying our heads in the sand
@menakadoshi Its crazy. Lot of people think it's like a safe debt allocation in their portfolio. This is a total myth - you just can't get it when you need it. They just find some reason to reject.
@praddy06 Hard to believe. Maybe 30 years back they didn't fully capture all the forests. So this might be attributed to an increase in data coverage over forest coverage?
COIN (Coinbase) - volumes have exploded. Yields down to 44 bps - they still make 126 bps in retail and only 3 bps on institutional trades! Unlike companies which are not able to monetize users - too much of a good thing here?
@StocksNerd Not quite. 80% is available in case of early payin & for BTST it is true assuming you have no other margin which is possible but not likely
@nbalajiv Some thinking necessary on ethanol as well. We would probably be better off importing crude instead of depleting water by incentivizing sugarcane. Water for ethanol, water for cleaning panels!
@ikshitijsharma@iManasArora In this case though the fundamentals are quite strong - just that FY21 was a bad year. FY22 likely to be a strong come back - earnings of 100cr+ for a 1440cr market cap currently.
As an aside, proof-of-work driven blockchains to the extent they depend on high infra (miners) to run are a bit easier to identify / shut down. Proof-of-stake needs lesser infra to run because anyone who has an internet connection can stake their coins. Interesting (10/10)
Fascinating stuff. Take-aways: ETH is general purpose and expands on BTC. People can build their own applications / rules. Once you build it, it does not need to depend on you for its continued existence. You do not have the ability to irregularly go in & tamper with it. (1/n)

Another Layer 2 example is roll-ups where basically computations are run off-chain but data is kept on-chain. So, it allows anyone to process all operations in the roll-up if they wish to. https://t.co/VMhwwslcGH (9/n)
