After 3 years of making magic at my school, I’m off to making magic someplace new. I hope I taught my students something in my time there, but I KNOW they taught me more.
It’s not goodbye, just see you later. #newbeginnings#TeachersOfTwitter#theaterteacher#elementarytheatre
@BNBuzz You’re really getting rid of the Educator discount program? Really?? Don’t worry teachers, we can now spend $40 to get only 10% off. Apparently giving us 20% off for free was more than they could handle.😡
@QuestDX Just heard one person say they got their “We’re ready for you” text 45 minutes ago. They only took him in because he spoke up. Absolutely absurd.
Had the most wonderful time at @OrlandoREP w/my fellow arts educators! I could’ve spent all day there. We need collaborative learning opportunities w/ our fellow arts educators AND our grade level/subject area colleagues. Grateful to start the year this way! #artseducationmatters
Over the last two decades, more school-age children have died from guns than on-duty police officers and active duty military combined.
Think about that.
For God’s sake how much more carnage are we willing to accept?
Again. It’s happened again. Here we are, a nation sending thoughts & prayers AGAIN. Will the next “again” be the time we finally get a grip as a country & do something to protect our fellow humans? We haven’t protected each other. Not in Uvalde. Not in Buffalo. No where.
And that’s a wrap! Thank you so much to @UNICEFKidPower @CommonSenseEd@edwebnet@Jehehalt for allowing me to share my passion for UNICEF Kid Power with educators! 💚💙🌎 Now let’s go change the World!

When I taught 2nd grade, I would always start by having my students put on their (invisible) 2nd Grade Mathematician hat. Cheesy? Yes. But it worked. It created a mindset that they were ALL mathematicians with a specific set of math skills that made them unique & necessary!
It’s official! I’m thrilled to join my friends over at @UNICEFKidPower for a conversation on a topic I am deeply passionate about. Thank you @edwebnet and @CommonSenseEd for the opportunity! #edWebinar#SEL#teachersoftwitter

New year, new role! After 14 years in the grade level classroom, I’ve started a brand new adventure as an elementary theatre teacher. I’ll still be sharing content on arts integration, social emotional learning, culturally responsive teaching…all with a theatrical twist.
Students are diverse, and instruction is most effective when they can see themselves in what they are learning. @SmartBrief offers 4 ways to ensure that social and emotional learning (#SEL) engages students’ unique needs/identities/assets. https://t.co/DKDgMLsccH
