@liamobrienactor Tried Jujitsu at 53! I did Karate/Kick Boxing for 10 years when I was much younger, but that 30 year gap was hard. Martial Arts is the most intense workout you will ever have. Go for it! Nothing like it for confronting the reality of your limits. Great laugh too.

@murpleburple I agree. Also, a long time ago, I was a reasonably competent fighter. I know sword fighters learn the same footwork as all other upright fighting styles. Everyone's foot placement is terrible!!! (Baylan Skoll is pretty ok). Kicks are even worse! Grr!!!

Sent some DNA to #MyHeritage. Curious cos my mam's side are all Mediterranean looking and my skin tans if the clouds part. Expecting cool,exotic results. Maybe 20% Spanish, perhaps a hint of North Africa? No. 98.2% Limerick area (not even Ireland).1.8% Baltic as exotic as it gets

Without the salve of loving them to help ease the pain, they appear such a burden, a strain on the nerves. It's no wonder the original Latin for child translates as "a drain on resources". Happy with my job that I love, and my guitars that love me back.
