Formerly @leftists4warren (Leftists for Warren). Now emphasizing intersectionality among leftists. We'll support the eventual Democratic nominee against Trump.
Friends, we've come to the end of long and hard-fought battle, and the results were not as we had hoped. But not all is lost. This election made many things crystal clear. Foremost among them is how desperately we need a thorough commitment to intersectionality among leftists.
"The move comes after multiple senators allegedly sold off stocks based on information received in briefings that warned of the impending impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic." https://t.co/QgB488r595
"Of course she’s disappointed, of course she’s sad. But her life’s work isn’t to become president; it’s to solve problems. She’d rather be doing this than anything else."
And this is exactly why she should have been the next president. https://t.co/V4R3EN9Wxr
"These women are the future of the progressive movement. They're ready to step forward not only to lead it, but to grow it into the future. … [Bernie Sanders'] energies should now [be] focused on passing the baton to these younger women." https://t.co/mtxLT1zupC
Elizabeth Warren demands eight conditions attached to a bailout package for business, including a $15 minimum wage for workers, a ban on share buybacks, and no dividends or executive bonuses for 3 years.
Biden is nothing close to a leftist, and we've not held back on criticizing him on this page. But this is a solid move, and we'd be remiss if we didn't give him kudos for it. Here's to hoping this is the first of many such progressive policies he'll adopt from Warren and Sanders.
Across the country, middle and working class families are being squeezed by debt. This is a massive problem, and one that we need all of the best ideas to solve. That's why today, I'm adopting two plans from @BernieSanders and @ewarren to achieve this.
"Less 'revolutionary' than Mr. Sanders’s socialism, [Warrenism is] more threatening to concentrated power … because it’s learned and realistic about the ways in which rules structure the political and economic incentives that ultimately determine who gets how much of what."
"Democrats need a fighting creed that avoids both Mr. Biden’s blinkered complacency & Mr. Sanders’s quixotic hand-waving. She may be gone from the race, but Elizabeth Warren has a plan for that. Democrats should pick up the fallen flag of Warren-ism & run" https://t.co/VALY02g4ML
"My godmother isn’t backing Biden because she is in love with neoliberalism. She is doing so because the Democratic Socialist isn’t doing enough to prove he cares about her as much as he does the white working-class man in Iowa…." https://t.co/dWW4AbVLtL
"She was held to impossibly high standards, met them, and still saw male competitors who met much lower standards keep scaling past her in the polls." https://t.co/ykzRjoI7ut
"But rather than obsessing over endorsements, I’d rather encourage you to turn your gaze away from what she can do for Bernie and Joe and put it back onto how she can still help the American people and make the country better." https://t.co/OngLMDYgi4
Today is a hard day for so many people who love and respect @ewarren and admire her campaign - and I include myself in that.
Elizabeth Warren is a progressive lion, a champion for working families, and her commitment to inclusivity is exemplary. Thank you for being a role model.
"It is an acknowledgment that the party needs Warren’s substantial ideas and policy proposals. It is, as well, a recognition that her approach to agenda setting is necessary for a party that must work more closely with activists and movements." https://t.co/blYEMRXpBY
1/ I run Media Matters (a media watchdog organization). I want to say something about @ewarren's departure from the race. Horserace, polls, nomination aspect aside aside, we will all feel the effects of Warren's absence from the race, whether you realize it or not. Here's why...
"Her policies centred LGBT+ lives…. She had a plan for everything, after all. Here are a handful of moments, in an unflinching 13-month campaign, where Warren set the standard of allyship." https://t.co/XTec2H685v
@prarthanaRawal@WarrenDemocrat@Millys4Warren@students_warren @WomenwithWarren @ewarren I'd love to see Warren as VP. But I'd also urge you to vote against Trump regardless. It's your vote, of course, but it needn't mean that you support the Democratic candidate. Only that you believe another four years of Trump would be worse yet.

We'll soon update the page's name, handle, and avatar to reflect this change. So don't unfollow if you too want to stay in the fight with us. And if you haven't already, join our Facebook group to become even more involved. https://t.co/vGxbaqooKj
