The Coalition of Ignition Interlock Manufacturers joins The National Road Safety Foundation and the founder of MADD, and current founder of We Save Lives, Candace Lighter in promoting #NationalPassengerSafetyWeek#PassengersSpeakUp
Post 1/2: In keeping with today's focus on MN, the Coalition would like to draw attention to two alarming DUI tragedies caused by repeat offenders in a single week in Minneapolis. Had judges ordered Interlock systems in the offender's cars, innocent lives may have been saved.
Post 3/3: Thanks to co-authors Sens. Limmer (@Senwarrenlimmer), Matthews (@AndrewmathewsMN), Johnson, Ingebrigsten, and Reps. Mariani (@Cmarianairosa), Becker-Finn (@jbeckerfinn) Miller, and Frazier (@CedrickFrazier), who ensured Interlock and DUI provisions remained in the bill.
Post 2/3: Special thanks to the original authors Rep. Moller (@kellyforus), Sen. Latz (@SenRonLatz), Rep. Ginny Klevorn (@GinnyKlevorn), and Sen. Julia Coleman (@JuliaEColeman) for their work on this important legislation.
Post 1/3: The Coalition would like to thank the Minnesota Legislature for advancing the Omnibus Judiciary and Public Safety Bill. The provisions of this bill will strengthen existing ignition interlock laws and hold DUI offenders accountable for their actions.
Post 2/3: Special thanks in the House to Representatives Dudley Greene (chief sponsor), Timothy Moffitt (@timmoffitt), Mike Clampitt (@mikeclampitt), John Faircloth (@fairclothfor62), and Sarah Stevens (@RepSarahStevens) for creating safer roads for North Carolinians.
Post 1/3: The Coalition would like to thank the North Carolina General Assembly (@NCLeg) for advancing House Bill 402 and Senate Bill 183, substantial new bills strengthening ignition interlock laws.
