The world does not need an artificial intelligence that diminishes humanity; rather, it needs human intelligence enlightened by wisdom, political authority guided by conscience and technological innovation directed by charity. Only then will artificial intelligence become not a rival to humanity but a servant of the common good.
Any dynasty/franchise creators who go to Community day for CFB and Madden next year, your #1 job should be to ask about functionality.
How many years into the future was it tested? how many times? Press them.
This CANNOT happen again. Bugs are 1 thing. Broken is another.
The current state of franchise in Madden 27, both offline and online, is a mess. For all advancement made, core issues remain that are causing franchises to be lost or undesirable.
Would really like EA to step forward and address this (with a timeline to fix).
Dear @EAMaddenNFL x @MaddenNFLDirect - We as a community demand answers.
They reacted in Madden 23 when CFMs were broke, and we will get a reaction again. It's time to be aggressive on social media again. #FixFranchiseMode
Stop me if you’ve heard this before… Madden franchise this year had great potential but game breaking bugs and glitches and poor design are doing a great job to ruin the entire experience.
- Players retiring at times that make no sense
- players signing unrealistic gigantic contracts
- users not being able to sign players out of free agency with by far the best offers
- every contract negotiation forcing you to add extra years or exploding the bonus while taking salary down 4%
- teams being massively over the cap and never fixing it
- teams restructuring huge contracts leading to teams ending up even more over the cap
- teams not keeping the proper amount of players at each position (ex: 3 CBs on an entire roster)
- teams only making trades in the draft during the period where you simulate to your next pick
- CPU re-signing players for you when simulating even when the setting is disabled
And that’s just what I can think of right now. Just not sure if they have anyone testing any of this before the game comes out to not realize any of these insane problems?
I second this. I think this is another example of the disconnect we see in Dynasty.
No disrespect to the dev team, but there are some core concepts that just don’t line up with how college football actually works.
For example:
• 1⭐️ and 2⭐️ recruits. These really aren’t a thing in real life. The vast majority of those players are simply unranked. It also doesn’t make sense seeing SEC schools sign 10+ 2⭐️ recruits every cycle—that just doesn’t happen.
• G5 Heisman winners. I’ve seen multiple Group of Five players win the Heisman over the last few years. While it’s technically possible, it’s incredibly rare and not something that should happen regularly.
I understand the game isn’t meant to be a 1:1 simulation of real life, but Dynasty should at least be grounded in realistic college football trends. Small changes like these would go a long way toward making the mode feel more authentic.
@EASPORTSCollege let’s welcome back those XP sliders so we can correct the broken aspects of a really fun game
good video, shame only some people at EA understand what makes football and these games great
my final post on the matter:
* are there about ~100 less unsigned 4-star recruits now? YES
* did EA just remove 100 4-stars and 440ish 3-stars and replace them with 2 star recruits? ALSO YES
but wait - they said they were going to make recruits progress more, right?
no evidence of it yet! Which still leads to the same problem where 10 years in the future, teams are getting a lot worse
Why are SEC teams signing so many 1 & 2⭐️ in CFB27? Every dynasty Vandy turns into a 60 overall.. Mean while in real life Vandy pulled a 5 star. Recruiting needs an overhaul in 28
I really do NOT want to be known as the 'spot EA problems' guy - my content is designed to help us learn about the game, how it works, and how to have more fun by winning more
the problem is, every time we look into something, we find some other confusing issue
it's like saying 'i dont wanna be the chef that only cooks bacon and eggs' when you work at Bacon&Eggs Restaurant
cfb recruiting has the potential to be the absolute most complex and most fun roster building experience of ANY sports game - i hope that everyone agrees that we should continue working until that is true
Have you ever been recruiting and felt like there's WAYYYY too many running backs?
Turns out, that's a structural reality with how CFB 27 recruiting works!
Based on OC schemes, there's only ~143 starting RBs needed, but ~232 each year across 3/4/5 stars
Meanwhile, we need ~365 CBs, but only 140(!) are generated each year!
This leads to a surplus of HBs, QBs, TEs and WRs, and a shortage of key defensive positions
Wanted to recruit an in state option at CB in my ULM dynasty last season…
Turns out there were only 3 CBs in the entire state of a Louisiana! 2 1 stars and 1 2 star. Meanwhile…
My final video on the situation, I’m over it. If they don’t wanna listen to the community, they’re welcome to make the game worse
Sucks because all I want is the College Football series to be the biggest and best sports title, but sounds like giving players less and less options is the way forward
EA thinks we’re stupid. When we could pay you to progress faster, it was okay ✅
Now that we pushed back on your microtransactions, you’re saying we can’t progress faster for free because it compromises the game modes?? 🤣
you are just insulting your player base now @EASPORTSCollege
