#PeaceResponsiveness means designing programs - health, governance, climate, economic - to actively build #peace, not just #DoNoHarm. Our insight report unpacking what this looks like in practice in #GuineaBissau has now been launched ▸ https://t.co/caLmZkLTCM
What's shifted, what hasn't, and what comes next? Today's #PeacebuildingWeek CSO-UN Dialogue brings civil society, the UN and Member States together to take an honest look at progress on peacebuilding, and to renew commitment for the road ahead.

Our work begins and ends w/ communities affected by conflict. To bridge theory w/ practice, we created a #Peacebuilding Portfolio to capture our impact. The message of this document is clear:
Investing in #peace is an investment in durable change ► https://t.co/oN75v79D89
Today, we are proud to launch our Strategic Framework 2030: Peacebuilding in an Era of Heightened Instability 🌍
Created through in-depth consultations, this framework ensuring that those affected by conflict remain at the heart of everything we do ► https://t.co/oN75v79D89
Three decades of impact in one place: we’re excited to launch the updated https://t.co/vMNcDTps6J 📍👏
Our goal was to place you – our partner, supporter, friend – at the centre. Through examples + strong messaging, we make it clear that together we are making #peace possible.
Interpeace President @ikakoma1 met UN Special Envoy Huang Xia (@UNGreatLakes) to discuss greater coherence among mediation initiatives in the Great Lakes and promote inclusive peace processes involving communities, women and youth. #GreatLakes#Peacebuilding#Mediation
Fascinating to discuss the future of the humanitarian system with a truly impressive group of young mediators brought together by Finland, South Africa and @Interpeace_Org. Listening to their experiences of locally led action, mediation in crises, and technological innovations - and blockers - in the humanitarian space left me enthused about the next generation of leaders.
"People like you give full sense to reconciliation and forgiveness. I don't think there is a better synonym than what you are doing together," @llombartpatUE told participants, praising the impact of the EU–Interpeace partnership in building community and individual capacity.
Last week, @llombartpatUE, Managing Director for Africa at the European Union External Action Service interacted with participants in our #EU-funded community-based programme in #Rwanda that promotes healing, strengthens resilience and supports collaborative livelihoods. 🧵
Through moving testimonies, genocide survivors, perpetrators, ex-combatants, returnees & their descendants shared personal stories of how healing groups evolved into cooperatives that support joint livelihoods, a testament of reconciliation, restored trust & collaboration.
Youth are not just the future, but they are the present of peacebuilding. Interpeace and Voz di Paz launched Jovens Firkidja Di Paz initiative to empower young people in Guinea Bissauto lead change, promote dialogue and social cohesion, and build resilient communities.

Trust is eroding. Conflicts are rising.
In Raisina Files 2026, Interpeace President @ikakoma1 argues that investing in peace is a strategic necessity, not an idealistic stance.
Read “Responding to Global Uncertainty by Investing in Peace”
In this edition of Raisina Files, @ikakoma1 writes about persistent conflict and the choice that the world has to make: “to persist with militarised and reactive approaches, or to renew political and #financial commitments to inclusive, preventive, and locally grounded peacebuilding.”

@KayFrankR, the Country Representative of @Interpeace_Org in Rwanda emphasised how safe spaces for intergenerational dialogue in the country are driving healing and resilience, empowering youth to become active agents of change and promoters of peace in their communities.
Youth engagement remains a central pillar of @Interpeace_Org's programming. We were pleased to partner with @Unity_MemoryRw to bring together youth, members of Rwandan diaspora in Europe, to facilitate an open & inclusive intergenerational dialogue on Rwanda’s future.
The dialogue that took place on 21 Feb in Paris, focused on Rwanda’s recovery & resilience, urging young Rwandans to promote unity & cohesion, as enablers for resilience post the 1994 genocide, which left consequences on social fabric and mental health.
