@SixLinesPlease@zosafinaa Exactly what I’ve been saying! This sort of thing gives him just enough plausible deniability to “look good” and make her feel worse about herself.
@tanna1122 At worst, he is not someone who should be dating someone with BPD, because he is not “equipped” to deal with it, and that’s ok! Just like the pwBPD needs to work on themselves (be the one in this post or not), it doesn’t mean they don’t need some sort of support. Not an enabler!!
@tanna1122 W/ the amount of ppl nowadays that romanticize “toxic obsessive girlfriend”, why is it unbelievable that it can be malicious? I have had people admit to me later on that they spoke to me in a particular way because they wanted the “crazy”, there is usually a pattern of behavior.
@thegracedigger I wonder if they say that because of the entire “Amy Lee is a trained opera singer” thing. She does incorporate operatic elements, but at some point the wires got mixed and people started believing she was actually an Opera performer before Evanescence haha
@matchak1tkats It’s exactly like you said. It’s not that you’re “shrinking fat”, muscles look leaner, therefore if you’re filling it out with muscle training, it will create a different visual appearance. No fat reduction without a caloric deficit…
@Balder998 At most, a pretty peasant could become an affair people pretend not to see, or hired help. Depending on the nation, a second wife or concubine. Title > Money or beauty when it comes to different social classes, and even between nobility itself. A poor Marquis would still be more-
@mawposting@Balder998 Completely understand your perspective. I’m so sorry for this experience, I believe that to BPD, reassurance is like a drug, so even well intentioned people like you might end up in bad situations due to the pwBPD needing the rush of validation :( I am guilty of it myself too
@mawposting@Balder998 Thanks for engaging in such a respectable manner! Personality disorders overall are really complex for both the person and the people around them. I personally started viewing them as different ways of viewing and understand the world instead of a “right or wrong” thing
@mawposting@Balder998 BUT!! I will say, the internet has romanticized BPD and other cluster b disorders, that lead to people just being toxic or bad partners and claiming it’s because they have this or that. It’s not “cute” behavior, kind of like the goth gf phenomenon that is just a fetish
@mawposting@Balder998 Because relationships are partnerships. We as a society have been growing increasingly selfish, believing every individual is only responsible for their own choices, but humans are communal by nature, so in things like relationships, sometimes both sides need to compromise.
