Visibility Matters.
•
Not in that glad-handing sense of the word, but simply connecting with colleagues, discussing ideas, fresh thinking, and exhibiting leadership qualities.
•
However, if all you do is keep to your self and eat lunch in your cubicle, you might as well be invisible.
•
The other thing to realize? You may be awful at your job. But your career progress depends on steadily gaining additional skills not directly related to your core function.
•
Supervising people is one. Presenting your work effectively is another incredibly important one. Those are the skills that move you up in management over time.
•
Otherwise, you'll spend the rest of your career treading water. And if you think chitchatting at a corporate or industry function is hellish, that's nothing compared to doing the same thing year after year with no true career advancement.
•
The problem you might be facing is one of self-confidence in one-on-one situations.
•
If that's the case, then I'd suggest your public speaking skills. Doing that doesn't make you shallow or manipulative or anything else of that sort. It simply improves your interpersonal skills so that you feel more confident in a meeting or the inevitable corporate function.
•
🔴People do business with people. It's that simple. If your people skills aren't sharp, your career will suffer over time.

Building the Habits you Need to Achieve your Goals
Goals are funny. For a long time I thought being goal-oriented was key - but I’ve changed my mind slightly in the last few years.
I now put my energy into the process.
It’s in the day-to-day things we do consistently that will determine whether we ever reach the goals we set.
✨ You need to have an idea of what you’re trying to achieve.
✨ Once you have your goal, break it down into small tasks.
✨ Make the processes and habits that will bring you to your goal achievable.
🔶 Tricks we can Use to make new Habits easier to Stick to:
🔻 Make your new habit obvious. Put it where you can see it or read it
🔻 Make it easy. Add one new habit at a time
🔻 Make it satisfying. Reward yourself for sticking to a new habit.

Evolving Towards Success
How many goals have you written down that meant your success? How many happened? Or didn’t?
The problem is when goals aren’t realized, we think and feel that we failed. But is that accurate?
I would rather believe that something that I planned for myself, I was not able to evolve and adjust to the circumstances before me to succeed..
Yeah that’s sits much better than the cruel punishment of failure running around in my head..
So here’s 3 tips to help you shift your mindset:
✨ Understand what you’re Expecting - it’s not just about goals, but expectations. Don’t just want things that seem beyond your reach. Learn, develop and stay curious about going further than your mind tells you to
✨ Do not hide your Mistakes: handling mistakes, can fast track your personal evolution towards success.
✨ Quality vs Quantity Decision-making: understand the short and long term impact of the decisions that are before you. Try to scope the outer reaches your decisions will have an impact on. Help your instincts and intuition out by being as informed as possible

Empathy vs. Envy..

If you’re looking for a pat on the back while climbing the success ladder... you might as well stop now
•
Rarely happens..
•
What happens often however... are people silently standing by waiting... and watching... you..
•
What you’re working. on.... and how you’re handling things.. all your twists and turns..
•
Yeah... that’s what that heavy energy you’re feeling around you is. It’s not a headache or a bad meal sitting on your stomach...

It’s that haze, that mist.. of all those people who don’t dare try or do what you’re doing..

It's Been 10 Years.. How Proud Are you Of You Today?
Something we always hear is “change is the only constant”, which means simply that change is inevitable. Maybe the changes that you’ve experienced are small and you have to dig deep to discover what they are, but there’s a 100% chance that the person you were 10 years ago isn’t the same person that you are today.
Oftentimes, the answer would be - “well, it depends on how you look at it…”, and as that answer slowly morphed into a “No", that’s when you begin to recognize that it is time to make drastic changes in your life and leave that job.
"..I don’t know where I’m going but I know I’m going somewhere.."
✨ Going somewhere is enough, so long as you go with intention and don’t allow life to just happen to you. Sit in the driver’s seat, even if you don’t know what your final destination is.
Checking in with yourself at various intervals should be the most important aspect of your personal growth and maturing, and having the bias to action to actually make changes is the secret to affecting real growth.
✨ Are you proud of yourself today?
✨ Would the you from 5-10 years ago be proud of where you are today?

‘Means’ Goals and ‘End’ Goals and the Importance of Knowing the Difference
It’s possible to achieve all your goals and yet never get what you want out of life. This failure to achieve your life’s ambitions occurs when you confuse means goals and end goals. 😬 ( I'll let the emoji do its part here..)
✨ Means goals are stepping stones to a bigger goal. They lead to something grander, or at least they should. Means goals are the tools to achieve your ultimate objective, your end goals. Thus means goals should be flexible so they can be adjusted as needed to achieve your ultimate aim.
✨ End goals, on the other hand, are non-negotiable. You should never compromise when it comes to getting the best for yourself and your family. You can’t compromise on your end goals, but you must remain flexible in the means you use to achieve that end.
✴️ Means Goals Have Endpoints; End Goals Do Not.
The crucial difference between means goals and end goals is that means goals have well-defined endpoints (a number on the scale, a dollar figure). Means goals are limited and can be completed, but end goals are objectives you can pursue for a lifetime.
🔴 You don’t become your best on one day; instead, you have to work toward that goal every day of your life.
🟣 Homework: Take the time to enumerate your end goals. Then create means goals that serve those ends and if those means don’t get you the results you desire, drop them for better means.
You Deserve The Best Life. Go After It... 💫

"..Things Can Change at Any Moment…How You React and Adapt Will Determine Your Future.."
Angela Civitella
Adapting to change gracefully is not easy, but the better you are at it, the more opportunities you’ll unlock in your career.
Let’s look at what adaptability means, and use some adaptability examples to illustrate why this skill truly is a superpower.
Adaptability doesn’t come easy to most people, because change is naturally uncertain, and uncertainty breeds anxiety and stress.
It’s important to note that being adaptable does not mean saying yes to everything, or allowing your boss or co-workers to cross your boundaries and take advantage of you.
Three categories people spend time in when it comes to assessing change:
✨ Category 1: This change isn’t a big deal, and I can work with it without saying anything.
✨ Category 2: I’m open to this change, but I will need to advocate for a few alterations in order for it to work with me.
✨ Category 3: I cannot accept this change, and will explain to my manager/coworkers why.
Research shows that people who are adaptable spend the most time in Category 2, because adaptability means making your own internal changes to adapt to the changes around you.
More pluses to look at:
🟧Adaptability leads to promotions
🟧Adaptability builds deeper connections
🟧Adaptability helps you sidestep office politics
🟧Adaptability enhances efficiency and improves work-life balance
Adaptability in the workplace is more than just a useful skill; it’s a fundamental approach that opens doors to growth, efficiency, and a happier working life.

Be motivated, don’t manipulate
Be of use, don’t use for gain
Be excellent in what you do, do not compete
Focus on all the yeses to succeed, and not the whys you won’t

How Do You Measure Success?
🔴The Myth:
✨Wealth/Status: Success cannot be measured materially. A title, salary, or bank account is always going to be relative to those of others, and therefore your success is defined by others. It is not your success, and whatever means ‘winning’ today will invariably become ‘falling behind’ tomorrow. Living well is always one hill away when success is measured materially.
✨Being ‘Happy’: Success cannot be measured emotionally. Happiness is fleeting and transitory, based on a nuanced and complicated experience of balancing expectations and realities. The happiest people are only occasionally happy, happiness is not directly in our control, and happiness is always relative to disappointment, unease and sorrow, and it can be an important thing to allow ourselves to be unhappy when there is good reason for it. Living well is always precarious and separate from our agency and power, when measured emotionally.
✨Achievement: Success cannot be measured in achievements if those achievements are not based in our values, or motivated by our life experiences. An achievement can be a big milestone that tells us we are on the path we want to be on, but looking to that achievement rather than the everyday work of putting one’s truest self into fully realized action is to miss out on the greatest satisfactions to be found in life. Living well can be co-opted away from us, when measured meritoriously.
🔴The Lies:
✨You Are Not Acceptable.
Whoever you are, whatever you’ve done or haven’t done, you are acceptable just as you are. You are worthy of love, and of loving yourself. Whatever guilt or regret you may hang onto from the past, are they still serving you? If so, figure out why, and turn that into action. If not, what good are you doing anyone, stuck on that hook? You’re okay. You’re enough.
✨You Are Obligated.
All you have to do is exist. That’s it. You aren’t obligated to anyone, or anything else. Transform that sense of obligation into choice and desire toward whatever it is that you want. Delete the words “should”, “gotta”, “have to” and “must” from your vocabulary. Love does not obligate. We are. That’s enough.
✨You Should Be In Control.
Control is an illusion that our conscious mind constructs, or internalizes from elsewhere, to feel comfort. Your life can change in a trillion ways today, for better or worse, and 99.99% of them are wholly out of your control. You are a leaf on the wind. Lean into the discomfort. Let go of the illusion.
Live Your Truth.. That's Enough

WHY GOOD LEADERS CONSTANTLY HIT THE WALL…
Which blocks are you dealing with?
The maturity of an organization can never transcend the maturity of its leaders… and its teams.
Angela Civitella
Read that again.
Running a family business is never a straightforward journey. It requires an intricate balance between managing operations, navigating family dynamics, and keeping a clear strategic vision – for the company, ownership, and the family.
Sometimes, you hit a wall no matter how strong your team is. Sales stagnate, profits dwindle, and communication breaks down. Senior management teams are so caught up in day-to-day operations that they don’t realize they’re heading in the wrong direction – until it’s too late.
Here are some blocks to look at:
✨ Lack of Financial Clarity
✨ Communication Breakdown
✨ Resistance to Goal Setting and Accountability
Remember:
🔴 Successful Businesses Align Their Ownership and Build Stronger Families in the End.

A robust feedback culture helps everyone to develop their soft skills, to perform better, and ultimately allows the organisation to be more effective.
Feedback culture is also a vital part of any healthy workplace and is an essential building block for strong working relationships.
There are even a range of tools specifically designed for implementing feedback in the business environment, such as Impraise, Engagedly, and 15Five.
Feedback must be implemented in a comprehensive way
Feedback is driven approach that has the buy-in of people at all levels of the organization
All business leaders and executives need to develop a specific set of skills to give and receive feedback effectively. This is a vital interpersonal skill that will make you a better manager, encourage your team to perform better, and deliver stronger results for your organization
✨ Don't just accept... Engage, be Curious enough to Care, and then....

Anticipation...
•
Turns out it’s a skill you can learn…
•
Say what now?…
•
Here’s the thing: to be anticipatory means to look for future trends and look for the opportunities they can provide
•
So one of my favorite sayings is “anticipation in action”… what is that?
•
Instead of waiting around, think of how YOU should evolve in order to add greater value..
•
So the real question when faced with lots of moving parts in an organization who is busy changing things around is:
•
What’s the new job inside of my old job?
•
Look around your ecosystem.. is your company changing their business model? Are departments being streamlined? Anyone being re-distributed?
•
•
Important questions..

Competing Against Yourself...
In business it means shifting your focus from outsmarting external rivals to continuously outgrowing your own past performance.
By measuring growth against your own benchmarks (e.g., last year's sales or customer response times), you reclaim control, drive sustainable innovation, and build a stronger foundation
🔴 Focus on High-Value Activities and Delegation
To become a better leader and grow your company, you must evaluate how you spend your time.
✨ Identify $10,000-an-hour Activities: Focus on the strategic, high-level tasks that only you can do. Note: the hourly rate is proportional to the size of business. This example targets large organizations.
✨ Delegate the Rest: Document processes, build simple checklists, and delegate routine tasks so you have the mental bandwidth to innovate.
🔴 Build Better Internal Systems
When your goal is to beat your past self, execution and implementation become your true differentiators.
✨ Create Repeatable Systems: Turn successful one-off projects into standard operating procedures. This allows your team to operate efficiently without needing your approval for every minor decision.
✨ Embrace Continuous Feedback: Gather reviews and feedback to constantly tweak and refine your product offerings, pushing your own standards higher.
Don't focus on what is out there... YOU are your most valuable product.
Period 👏

There are only two emotions that really matter: Fear and Love. Out of the two, Fear is definitely the trickiest..
Why is fear so important to look at ? Because it’s the largest consciousness that holds the lowest density that we are stepping out of..
Man.. that was a mouthful
All fear serves is to keep you from things and out of things, that would otherwise serve you well, no matter the lesson
Fear should be what you go towards and not run from. Fear is your greatest teacher. You will stretch and reach in ways you never thought possible
Fear does that.. well
Fear is a constant, it keeps you company, even when you want to be alone.. especially when you want to be alone..
