End of line for the BART legacy fleet. A2 car 1241 is the last train car of its kind to be present on the Fremont station platform. #ThankYou for having us aboard @SFBART! ❤️
We're excited to announce that @SFBART A-Car #1164 will come to our museum THIS FRIDAY!
With a highly anticipated arrival expected at 12:00 PM (give or take), we cordially invite the public to come and welcome the iconic #1164 to its new home!
We hope to see you there!
With most prep work complete, all eyes are on our @SFBART cars to join us at our museum!
Of the 669 cars built, only our trio will be preserved in a museum. Having run 15 million miles together, they've seen better days, but are ready for their permanent retirement with us!
We’re moving full speed ahead and excited to announce @SiemensMobility as our manufacturer for the Brightline West train sets. This partnership will include a fleet of 10 “American Pioneer 220” train sets, the first true high-speed train sets to be built in America.
a BART manager gave me an estimate of (at least) 5,000 in attendance. the line snakes around the entire MacArthur Station Plaza and goes to the parking structure two blocks away from the station. this is where the line ends
Join us next Saturday for the official retiring ceremony and final ride of the legacy fleet.
