It's amazing concept. You have to grow the yeast. Wait patiently. Do your job of feeding. It's just like raising children and needs less money 😋

However, it reminds of how I wanted to become a farmer.

Strated my attempt at Sourdough bread.

The first thing to create the mother dough or starter. It will take 5 days of feeding and waiting to turn into a starter.

Timer is on. Waiting for next day.

Beautiful couple days spent in Bir, Himalayas. Spent time cooking, feeding and learning to adapt to surprises of favorite ingredients/ utensils not available.

Toppings:
1. Dried cranberries : 20gms
2. Descrated coconut - 1 tbsp
3. Toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds - tbsp
4. Chia seeds - 1 tbsp

Smoothie:
1. One medium banana 🍌
2. Frozen blueberries - 70 gms
3. Ace Blend - Plant power protein - Vanila Flavor. You can use whey if not Vegan.
4. Unsweetened Peanut Butter - 1 tbsp
5. Water as per consistency required. You can use almond, oats or soya milk.

One of the two restaurants at Spice Village @cgh_earth serves seasonal food sourced ONLY within 50 miles!

The in-house organic farm grows all kinds of herbs and leafy greens. Women in nearby villages also supply pesticide-free veggies from their kitchen gardens.

Like many lodges, Spice Village @cgh_earth employs over 50% staff locally. But goes further by engaging rural entrepreneurs to supply reusable cloth bags, dustbin liners, veggies, pappad and candles.

Meeting some of them restored my belief in the power of responsible tourism!

This German 🇩🇪 supermarket sell foods 🥘 rejected by other shops. Completely safe and healthy, sometimes may be a bit ugly. Time for a circular economy.
