@SidelineEli@cR4CKc@JayHooft I'm not sure if I agree that TLOU was 'about' Ellie but thats a philosophical question. I agree that Joel's arc was nicely tied up in the og, but I really thought killing him was a cheap grab for impact..
@SidelineEli@cR4CKc@JayHooft That makes a lot of sense to me. I struggle to understand yotei, TLOU, or uncharted as inevitable narrative consequences of the story
@cR4CKc@SidelineEli@JayHooft Could you explain how they're all natural progressions of the story? Most people accept that it's contrived I've just never heard anyone make this case.
@erdbeermilcher People won't, and we won't get another. You could get everyone on board making her a little prettier. Can you explain why people hate female beauty so much they would rather not have female representation?
@AnisDrawn I'm confused by people thinking the Faye model is ugly. I'm also confused by people saying they can't see an intentional artistic debeautification of Deb in the model. It just feels like no ones telling the truth anymore.
@notquite_r34026@misskarenpage Okay so just to be clear you view the Lauffey model as an accurate representation of Deb, you don't think the model is worse looking, and you don't think the artists intentionally made her less beautiful to be a more sympathetic character?
@thecrimsontt I think she looks great, as an original character she would be an indisputably perfect design. It's also legitimate that the artists viewed Deb as too perfect to be fashionable as sympathetic character. I just wish ppl would make that case; not lie and say she looks like that IRL
@Pirate_Pete_@Swurv__ You're kind of proving the point of how she would look perfect in any context. This is the best evidence of the intentional deconstruction of her face
@Swurv__ It's fine, and I think people should accept artistic expression. To the artists Deb is "not real" enough to be a character which must be representative and iconic. Fine, that's okay it's a legitimate artistic take. But why are they gaslighting us and saying she looks the same?
