@Queeneth01olx I don't know if this is a true life story or just fiction. The names of the characters reinforce the negative perception of a certain tribe while exonorating another. It can be termed bigotry. It may be great to use a neutral name like Peter or Paul. Thanks

In 2011, Joseph Mizzi travelled to Zambia to donate bicycles to schoolchildren. He arrived and found that the reason children needed bicycles was a seven-kilometre walk to the nearest school, each way. He went back to New York and built something more permanent instead.

What followed was a school, a health clinic, teacher housing, and landscaping across 100 acres in Chipakata Village. The design breaks from the standard linear classroom block separating rooms, opening space between them, placing everything under a wide metal canopy that lifts above the roofline to let heat escape and air move through. Masonry base. Timber. Local materials throughout. The community pavilion was raised with the participation of the village people themselves. The agricultural fields surrounding the school generate food for the students and income for the facility. The school funds itself by feeding the land that feeds it back.

This is what aid to Africa should look like. Not a cash transfer that dissolves into overhead and corruption before it reaches a child. A building. A field. A skill transferred to the hands that will maintain it after the donor has gone home. Infrastructure that the community owns because the community built it.

Cash is the easiest thing to give. It is also the easiest thing to lose. Permanent structures, working land, and trained local hands are harder to misplace.

@ayanfenikky I assume you have had multiple discussions with your husband. What are his reasons or fears? I do think that it is good for women to work for continuous growth and days when the husband may need the support or is no longer around. Convince him and all the best.

@eldivine The challenge is that most people in the driver's seat of cars in Nigeria do not have any form of driver training. Obviously the red car was in the blind spot but the big car should never have changed lanes without the actions you have stated.

@eldivine Someone is saying that it is a FGN project as if Abia state is isolated from Nigeria. I wonder if the overbloated cost will not be paid atributted to Abia as loan repayment. Even if it is not, when is it ok to be wasteful because it is FGN? We will welcome sensible FG projects.

@Mr_Amogu Where is the FG going to get the funds? How many Abians travel by air even with the existing nearby airports? ABSG can do better by asking the FG to invest rather in education, health and agriculture if the intention is to have federal projects in Abia.

@HRH_onyx Owerri, PH, Uyo, Enugu & Ebonyi airports all less than 2 hours from Abia state. This does not make any sense. I wonder how many people or goods pass through these air ports from Abia. Rail and road network with dry ports should be the focus. Anything else is hubris...

@ndekekwe Air Peace should actually use this as one of their selling points. It can actually make a difference considering the stress in transiting between air ports especially in Lagos. This will have to involve movement of luggage and persons between air ports. Game changer.
