In Phoenix you can golf in the morning, drive through Sedona and ski in Flagstaff all in the same day.
The Latino food, and culture scene is one of the best in the country.
One of the best Native American museums in the world is the Heard museum in addition to the other 22 tribes of Arizona. Plenty of culture.

@LobanjicaCS @CounterStrike @austincsgo_ Haven’t spoken to a valve dev about the game… ever. Endless lying is endless boring 🥱

Was your annual budget on performance enhancing drugs? I’ll match the amount and donate it to a charity.

"I literally had $5,000 to my name and that $5,000 was supposed to pay my mortgage on my house. So what did I do? I used that $5,000 to send the team to Dallas... They won in Dallas, the next weekend they went up to San Francisco and won again, they won $50,000 in prize money and my cut was $5,000 and I paid my house payment." - @JasonBWLake

Jason Lake put half a million dollars of his own money into his brand @Complexity in the early 2000s and wore a tie throughout events to make esports look more professional at a time when many teams didn't even wear jerseys.

A true pioneer of esports.

The clip is from "compLexity: Redemption", while the quote comes from @Thorin's Reflections series. I highly recommend both if you're interested in one of the most fascinating stories in all of esports.

@MayteClaraX Fun fact about all of that, the politicians pushing for this were setting him up for failure. It's one of my favorite anecdotes in a book called "How Big Things Get Done" by Bent Flyvbjerg and Dan Gardner

I just saw Nertz, donk, huNter try to nade highway and I was thinking, surely there is a better way ‼️

If the enemy is on top of the box, you will -56 him with one nade, then follow up with a molly or another nade right after, all you need is a teammate under you

Since Monte seems comfortable taking shots at me publicly, I think it’s only fair to give some context.

Monte owes me tens of thousands of dollars, plus my share of Monte’s Major team sticker revenue. I haven’t received any tournament prize money since 2025, and I am also still owed multiple monthly payments and performance bonuses.

Multiple former players and the coach are also still owed substantial amounts, to my knowledge.

I stayed quiet for a long time because I respected the organization and wanted to give them every chance to sort this out privately and make things right.

Payment delays were also a recurring issue throughout my time with Monte. We repeatedly reached out asking why this kept happening and were told it would be fixed, but nothing ever really changed. Over time, that made it harder and harder to trust that things would be handled properly.

And to be clear, this had a major impact on my decision not to re-sign with Monte. We’ve seen too many players in esports get burned by organizations that fail to pay what they owe, so I wasn’t willing to put myself in that position. It’s hard to commit your future to an org when situations like this keep happening.

The situation at Monte was uncertain. Re-signing would have meant committing to an organization we no longer trusted to consistently meet its financial obligations, with no guarantee that the same roster would even stay together long term.

The hate towards Luminosity and the players is unjustified. If anything, Monte’s own actions and failures were a big reason why things ended the way they did.

Choosing not to re-sign is not betrayal. After repeated payment issues and everything that had happened, we had every right to make the decision we felt was best for our careers. Calling us “rats” or “traitors” for that doesn’t change the reasons why we chose to move on.

If you have time to comment and make videos taking shots at former players, you should probably have time to pay the people who worked for you and earned that money. 😉

P.S. What makes this even harder to understand is that Monte received a very substantial amount of money from buyouts after the Major, while former players and staff are still waiting to be paid what they are owed.

Riot should have waited for Valve to make a fighting game so they could copy it. Would have saved them a decade of dev time.
