Taught Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) & Project Dependencies at @iotbtech.

One thing I keep noticing, especially in Web3, is that a lot of projects don’t actually fail because the idea is bad.

Things just start getting messy because execution was never properly structured from the beginning.

For those unfamiliar, a WBS is basically breaking a project into smaller manageable parts so teams can properly plan, assign, track, and execute each phase of the project.

Because once there’s no proper structure, little things start slipping through:
• unclear ownership
• missed timelines
• dependency blockers
• scope creep
• operational confusion

Then suddenly everybody feels like:
“Communication is poor.”
“Things are disorganized.”
“The team is unserious.”

But most times, the cracks started way earlier during planning.

One thing I told my students is:

If a project cannot be broken down clearly, it probably cannot be managed clearly either.

The more I teach and practice project management, the more I realize that good PMs don’t just manage tasks.

They create clarity before chaos happens.
