Being rigorous doesn't have to mean being unkind. It is absolutely possible to set high expectations and then be kind and encouraging as you help people to work toward them.
I need every single student to feel competent. Every single one. This is going to be extremely challenging. I don’t want ppl to feel bad at stats because they struggle with R. There is a huge empowerment opportunity if done right, but I am not willing to sacrifice one student.
